Well, it looks like some of my hognose eggs were laid earlier than I thought, as I now have three little hatchlings squirming around! Two normal 50% het albino, and one conda 50% het albino. Time to start raising up these little ones, hopefully Iā€™ll be able to s*x them soon. Still have 8 eggs in the incubator as well!

Well, looks like things are starting to warm up around here! While my leopard geckos havenā€™t seemed to interested in breeding yet, it seems like my hognose snakes certainly are! Hereā€™s hoping it goes well for Sonja and dimitri here! (I did see what appeared to be a lock earlier, so that bodes well)

So today Iā€™d like to bring up an interesting little critter that I have....quite a few of, to say the least. Mourning geckos! These little ladies may not look terribly impressive, being only about 4ā€ fully grown, but theyā€™re fairly unique and quite fascinating behaviorally. For starters, they are social reptiles, and will live in colonies of several individuals, and feed on both crested gecko food and small insects in captivity. Also, they are entirely female! Mourning geckos reproduce as*xually via parthenogenesis, though they will still, ah, ā€œencourageā€ each other in that regard. Their ease of care and ability to cohabitate with dart frogs makes them excellent little pets for those ok with a lizard they donā€™t handle much, and itā€™s quite fun to watch them tail-wiggle and chirp to each other during their daily goings-on. If interested, I have quite a lot of them available, from hatchlings through subadults, so just ask!

NFS yet, but wanted to post the first leopard gecko hatchling. Morph is tremper albino het Murphy patternless, het blizzard. This is what happens when someone tells you the wrong genetics for one of the parents, but still a cute lilā€™ pink lemonade gecko.
