🎄🐶 Merry Christmas from our pack to yours! 🐶🎄

we’ve been a little quiet lately — turns out even dogs slow down this time of year (unless treats are involved… then it’s FULL SPEED 🦴😄).

while we haven’t been super busy, we have had the pleasure of watching a few very good pups these past couple of months — and we’re always grateful for every wagging tail, muddy paw print, and slobbery kiss.

wishing all of our clients, friends, and their four-legged family members a Christmas filled with:
✨ belly rubs
✨ stolen wrapping paper
✨ snacks dropped “on accident”
✨ and naps by the tree

thank you for being part of our dog-loving community. we’re excited for more walks, sits, and tail wags in the New Year! 🐾

this Labor Day weekend we went back to our stomping grounds—Becks and Bourbon! 🐾 Jeralyn wasn’t feeling the best, so it was just me and the boys holding down the fort. I caught up on some work, binged Sullivan’s Crossing (so good!), and we took as many naps as possible. 💤

I definitely missed Jerbear, but it was kind of nice soaking up the quiet, having the pups all to myself, and watching my shows for once. 🖤

our local humane shelter is overwhelmed right now with found dogs — so many sweet faces waiting, confused, and scared, for someone to come get them.

if you choose to get a dog, please remember:
a dog is a lifetime commitment, not just a passing phase. they’re not “fun and games” 24/7 — they require care, patience, and love every single day. as a parent myself, I can tell you… having a dog is truly like having another child.

if you find you can’t keep your dog, do the right thing. rehome them responsibly or surrender them to a safe place — don’t just let them run off or drop them somewhere. they depend on us entirely for safety and love.

let’s take care of our pets the way they deserve ♥️🐶

we just wrapped up a full week of house and dog sitting for the prettiest girls—Ember and Willow! 💛 these two are family (literally), and we absolutely love them like our own. labs have always been a huge part of our hearts and home, and it’s been such a joy to care for these sweet souls. 🐾

we had beautiful weather all week and spent lots of time outside. along with Ember and Willow, we also cared for our aunt’s two outdoor dogs—Max and Etle. you won’t see them in the photos, but they were very much part of the fun! Max loves getting in the creek with Ember, Etle enjoys exploring the yard, and Willow? well, she had lots to say about fetch. 😆 we had some pretty hilarious conversations, not gonna lie. 😂

and of course, Jacky the cat was there too—low maintenance and sweet as ever.

just a reminder: we don’t take week-long bookings unless they’re very local (like this one—less than 5 miles from home). we’re so glad our aunt and her family got to enjoy a much-needed vacation. everyone deserves a break! ❤️

🐾 this past weekend was a full house — and we loved every second of it! 🐾

we had the joy of caring for 4 dogs and 2 cats on Saturday and Sunday. one dog and one cat stayed upstairs with me, while Jeralyn held down the fort downstairs with the other 3 pups and cat. it was a different setup for us, but it made for such a fun and snuggly weekend! 💕

✨ Fiona, Cholé, D3, and Ziggy are the sweetest puppers. Fiona and I had a chill time upstairs just lounging around (she’s definitely my kind of girl 😂), while Jeralyn got all the love downstairs. Ziggy may be just a pup, but he’s a total cuddle bug and couldn’t get enough snuggles!

we’re so grateful their owners trusted us with their fur babies while they took some time away. 🐶🐱 there’s nothing we love more than making your pets feel safe, loved, and right at home. ♥️

🐾 Buddy needs a little extra love this week 💔 🐾

we just found out that our sweet boy Buddy has likely suffered a partial tear in his knee ligament — the equivalent of a human ACL injury. thankfully, it doesn’t appear to be a full tear, so we’re avoiding surgery and focusing on healing through anti-inflammatory medication, rest, and plenty of TLC. 💊🛏️♥️

this has been a tough reminder of just how important joint health is for our dogs — especially for larger breeds like Buddy (he’s an American Staffordshire Terrier).

👉🏼 if your dog isn’t already on a daily joint supplement, now is the time to start.
supplements with glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, and omega-3s can make a huge difference in protecting joints and helping with mobility as dogs age.

even with all the right precautions, injuries can still happen — but doing your part now can absolutely help delay joint problems and ease the impact if they do occur. 🐶✨

please keep Buddy in your thoughts and prayers as he rests and heals — we’re staying positive and hopeful for a smooth, speedy recovery. he’s our baby, and we know many of you have fur babies of your own who mean the world to you too. 💙

we dog/house sat from Sunday evening to Saturday afternoon — and while this isn’t something we do, these customers lived less than 2.5 miles from our home, which made it easy for us to commit to staying the full stretch.

now let us tell you about this beautiful princess, Ash. she’s a Cane Corso, and let’s just say… she was not a fan of us on Sunday night 😅 but we respected her space. after all, we were strangers in her home, and we completely understood her hesitation.

so, we let her come to us — on her terms.

by Monday, she started warming up.
by Wednesday, she no longer barked when we pulled into the driveway or walked through the door.
she guards fiercely, but she loves even harder. she snuggled up close, trusted us, and absolutely stole our hearts. 💕

we truly hope we’re invited back — because she’s the bestest girl.

one thing we’re reminded of over and over: dogs know people. they sense fear. they sense bad energy. just like we do. and it breaks our hearts that dogs like Ash — labeled “aggressive” for protecting their people and their space — are often misunderstood or worse, put down.

they’re not bad. they’re brave. they’re loyal. they’re love wrapped in fur.
and honestly? dogs are better than most humans. 🐾♥️

we dog sat again this weekend—this time just as a favor for some friends, not through our business. we didn’t get to stay as long as we had planned, but we still had such a sweet time with Becks and Bourbon! can’t wait to snuggle them again in a few months! 🥰🐾

we officially had our first clients this Memorial Day weekend since launching our dog & house sitting business! 🎉🐾

Jeralyn and I got to spend the weekend snuggling the sweetest pups, Charlee and Tru, while their family enjoyed a well-deserved getaway. these two were an absolute joy and made our first weekend so special — such lovable babes! 💕🐶

a huge thank you to Maddie and Kameron for trusting us to care for your babies. we’re so grateful for the opportunity and already miss those furry snuggles!

here’s to many more weekends full of wagging tails and happy hearts! 🏡🐕♥️
