We pull high risk dogs from kill shelters in the south, and find their furever families in the north

This is an amazing pup 🌈who is sweet and loving. He brightens up the room when he is in it and can make anyone smile.

A few weeks ago, we got devastating news about Maddie, but let me skip to the best part first!

Maddie made it to Ohio to her forever home today who happens to be her original Texas foster family!

Since Maddie had left her Texas foster home, she spent time in Alabama with our President and Vice President of our rescue.

Shortly after arriving in Alabama, we noticed Maddie wasn’t feeling well. She was breathing from her abdomen, she became lethargic, and she was retaining water.

It was determined she is in congestive heart failure. Thanks to a great veterinarian, lots of TLC, and some medications, Maddie’s condition has improved. She has proved to us that she is feeling better!

Maddie is breathing much better and enjoying short walks!

We always keep our fosters updated, but we knew this was a special situation. When we called Alina, Maddie’s mom, to tell her what was going on, she didn’t skip a beat. She knew she and her husband were willing to bring Maddie home to live out her best days, and that’s just what she’s going to do!

We will be supporting Maddie’s medical care from here on out.

We don’t know how long Maddie has, but what we do know is that she has been living her happiest days since she got out of the kill shelter in January and that will continue until the end of time. This poor girl has been overbred and was likely dumped when she was of no use anymore.

We wish we could have had the opportunity to save Maddie sooner, but we are thankful for where she is sleeping cozy at tonight. 💤

Hi guys! 👋

I’m Arthur! I’m a 2 year old boy who was saved out of the shelter last week! I was only on the list to be killed for staying too long.

Apparently, there’s so many dogs in the shelter that 2 weeks is too long to stay in one of those kennels. Some dogs get put on the list right away.

Lucky for me, these rescue ladies and my foster mom worked together to get me to safety!

I’m neutered and heartworm negative!

I know how to sit and lay down, and I like to follow my foster mom around the house!

I’m good with other dogs and kids! I’m curious about cats, but I’m not sure what I think about them!

I’m ready for my forever home, and I can catch a ride to New York on April 19!

I’d love to join you for your daily adventures whether it’s a nice walk or hike or some fun in the backyard!

I’m crate trained and house trained! Oh and did I mention I’m a really good shadow?!

I can come stay at your house until I find my forever family if you’re willing to open up your home for me for a little while, or I can stay forever if you want to apply to keep me!
Either way, I’d be super thankful!

Hello friends!!! My name is Trixie. I am an 18-month-old female GSD. I weigh 53 lbs and I am a lover of all things. I currently live with my foster mom in Alabama. She took me in from my first family who got me as a puppy, and she says that they should have googled what it's like to own a GSD, and well maybe they would have known I was way too active for their lifestyle. Lol I am a smart girl and I know most of my basic commands. I don't jump up on my people even when I'm excited. I can run like the wind and then sit in your lap and snuggle. I really want to stay with my foster mom, but she says I need a forever family of my own, and then she can save another dog in need like I was a few months ago. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I prefer walking with my harness, and I am fully vetted and heartworm negative. I can be on the next transport north if you think I might be your next new bestest friend. Princess here! 👑

Princess is 1 year old, fun-loving, energetic, and wondering if you’re gonna bring her home!

Dove is wondering who is bringing her home?!?! She loves to play ball! She’s a super good girl, loves to be with you, and she also does well in a crate! Dove is 2 years old, knows basic commands. She is eager fo please and to learn even more! This girl is smart and looking for somebody looking for a right hand [girl]!

Dove is very loving, healthy and silly, too!

Her sad story:
Dove found herself in a high kill shelter after recently having babies. She was full of milk, but without her babies! Super unfortunate, but her babies were not found. We think mom (Dove) was dumped… and after we got her out of the shelter, she had a pretty big medical scare. We got her to one of our medical fosters, got her in for an emergency spay, some meds, some TLC, and got her fixed up!

Dove is B E A U T I F U L! And so deserving! 🫶

Dove is friendly and social with other dogs, but does best with male dogs and submissive females. She’s a medium drive dog, so she has energy, but she’s not crazy over the top! If you’re familiar with Mali (mixes), you’ll love Dove!!

We saved this handsome hunk out of Dallas shelter today… he heads to the vet in the morning! Thanks to an amazing 🤩 foster, he is in a very loving home, with lots of good food, all the love he could ask for, and a comfy bed! He will be going to the vet in the morning for an evaluation, as his rear right leg is broken and we’re praying for good news for his frontal right side. Send prayers for our boy, Dallas 🙏 he’s young, gentle, sweet and loving! We love you baby boy!
