Located in Neshannock Township, PA, off of Kings Chapel RD on Kingswood RD in a comfortable brick ranch home, the shop reopened on Sept 17, 2021 for limited hours after a 2-year hiatus. Scarlett is a big, beautiful Maine C**n. These cats are double-coated, so it’s important to de-shed the undercoat to prevent future mats. Drying her fur requires a full hour, yet she is very patient. Her owners keep her looking good by bringing her to us on an 8-week grooming cycle.

My handsome 14-year-old Mickey finally was groomed yesterday before having a vet checkup today. Unbelievable how much fur I removed! I hope his original owner in Las Vegas can see how wonderful Mickey is now! She left him behind not knowing that her condo didn’t allow cats and asked me to “find him a good home.” Since he’d been coming here for grooming for years, I welcomed this sweet, gentle angel—and I NEVER heard from his original owner. Her loss has been my gain!!!

Tiggy was a new customer today who just wasn’t sure he wanted to be groomed, so he explored the grooming area including the sink before his 1/2” comb cut. It’s official! Arthroscopic surgery by the wonderful Dr Tonnies on my left meniscus tomorrow at 8 AM at Edgewood Surgical Hospital in Transfer.

Supposedly off my leg for 2 weeks—we’ll see. I will be careful—I don’t want to repeat this! Lol

I’ll be contacting all customers scheduled over the next two weeks later this evening (Mon) with apologies for the short notice and inconvenience!

Thanks to all of you for being patient and understanding. No clue how I even did it!!

UPDATE: Small issue with blood clot that burst, soaking my bandage and lower leg in blood (after overdoing things, I admit). Had incisions and leg cleaned up and new bandage Wed AM—all good now. Moved my follow up with Dr Tonnies to Friday morning, so my rescheduling of customers will be later than hoped. I’m doing very well and will contact those of you needing rescheduled asap. Thank you all for your patience, prayers, and support!

Dear Customers—
I’ve torn my left meniscus and need minor arthroscopic surgery to correct it. Timing is up in the air but could be as soon as Tuesday, 7/15. As soon as I know (tomorrow, hopefully), I’ll contact everyone with an appointment in the next couple of weeks to set up rescheduled appts.
I’m so very sorry for any inconvenience!
