I am beyond satisfied with the outcome of this clutch. Pairing was (M)Confusion Het Clown x (F)YB Batman.
I feel that the genetic odds were on my side. Out of 7 babies, all 7 are clowns and 5 have the Confusion gene. All 5 have a nice dark belly stripe making it easy to determine.
This is my 3rd clutch of Ball pythons and I'm in learning mode. I have been using the genetic calculator to weight out the probability of morph combos and I am blown away at the outcome of this clutch. For me to hit 7 clowns from a Het, I didn't even think this was possible.
I would like to hear about some of your experiences with recessive hets and your actual ratios. Recessive to Het Recessive. I am even more curious about Het to Het pairings and how many babies came out with the recessive gene to 66% Het.
