A little glimpse into what a week in my life as a dog business owner looks like 🐾💜

And truthfully… this still doesn’t include:
• drop-in pet sitting visits
• weekly nail trim appointments always on the schedule
• boarding dogs staying in our home
• last minute schedule changes, messages, planning, cleaning, content creating, and all the behind-the-scenes work that comes with running this business
• and working a full time job

Busy season is definitely here, and while the days are long, I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you to every family who trusts me with your dogs, welcomes me into your routines, and supports my small business. It never goes unnoticed🫶🏼

🐶 Meet Bandit
• 1 y/o Mini Bernedoodle

🐾 Bandit is currently working his way through training, and this sensitive guy is already making HUGE progress‼️ With big feelings and a lot to say about the world around him, Bandit came to me needing help learning how to process everyday situations with more confidence and clarity.

We started by reconditioning him on the slip lead and introducing the e-collar with a calm, fair approach focused on communication and understanding. As we continue building structure and consistency, Bandit is starting to realize he doesn’t have to react to every little thing happening around him.

🤩 Here’s what we’re currently focusing on:
• Reconditioning leash pressure with the slip lead for better communication
• Beginning e-collar conditioning to create clarity and accountability
• Working through reactions to “normal” environmental distractions
• Creating calmer responses when guests enter the home
• Building confidence through consistency, structure, and follow-through

Bandit still has more work ahead of him, but he’s already showing us that underneath those big feelings is a really thoughtful, capable boy🐾💜

🐶 Meet Sven
• 9 y/o Goldendoodle

🐾 Sven recently wrapped up his 6-week course, and he absolutely rocked it‼️ With dad recently deployed, Sven found himself needing a little ✨structural rebranding✨ and some extra guidance to navigate the changes at home. He stepped into the program a bit unsure and lacking clarity, but once we gave him structure and consistency, everything started to click. As his understanding grew, so did his confidence. Instead of confusion, we built clear communication and Sven rose to the occasion every single time.

🤩Here’s what we focused on:
• Solidifying place command for calm, structured downtime
• Eliminating counter surfing (no more stolen snacks 🙅🏼‍♀️😂)
• Creating boundaries so his human siblings can eat in peace
• Building confidence through consistency and clear expectations

And his little sister Ruby even got in on the fun🐾💜

Sven is now moving through life with more confidence, clarity, and calm—and it shows in every interaction!

🐶 Meet Rhett & Scarlett
•2 y/o Mixed Breeds

🐾 Rhett and Scarlett came to training as a pair, but their bond was creating some challenges. Both were struggling with anxious behaviors like growling at strangers, destructive habits, separation anxiety, and difficulty being apart from each other.

✨ What we’re seeing here is a classic case of littermate syndrome: where two dogs become so dependent on one another that the outside world feels overwhelming. We started with the foundations: settling in the kennel and learning to relax on the place cot. Teaching calm and structure was the priority.

🤩 Now we’re taking those skills outside, and these two are absolutely crushing it. They’re learning how to exist calmly in new environments and look to their handler for guidance instead of reacting out of anxiety.

Progress like this takes time, but Rhett and Scarlett are well on their way💪💜

Happy March🍀
Which means puppy season is here🐶

If you’re in the middle of puppy chaos right now, take a breath. You’re not failing. Your puppy isn’t bad.

Most puppies just need more sleep, more structure, and clearer guidance — not more corrections.

Start there. Everything else gets easier.

Everyone wants a perfectly trained puppy.
What you actually need is structure, engagement, and realistic expectations. If you’re focusing on “sit” but your puppy can’t settle, we need to reset the foundation.

🐶 Meet Hank
• 2 y/o Rottweiler

🐾 Hank wrapped up his Basics Course a few weeks ago, and he absolutely showed up and showed out‼️

When Hank started, he was deep in that goofy juvenile phase. Big body, big feelings, big reactions. What he really needed? A little ✨structural rebranding✨ To be honest, Hank and I didn’t meet on the best terms. But as his confidence grew (the right way), so did our partnership. Instead of working around his personality, we worked with it and that changed everything.

🤩Here’s what we focused on:
• Place command – especially for guest arrivals
• Reducing guest jumping (diminish launching his entire Rottie body at visitors 😂)
• Replacing glass door body-slamming with structure + impulse control
• Implementing “down” for self-soothing and clarity
• Re-fitting his prong collar for proper guidance, communication, and fair corrections

In true Rottweiler fashion, Hank has strong boundaries and he stands by them. My job wasn’t to dull that. It was to channel it. And yes… he will do almost anything you ask…
as long as you tell him he’s the handsomest guy first💜
