A cold rainy Saturday night, what do we do??? How about we talk about our new Heartland Coloring Book! Fun for kids while they learn about service dogs!
Even better, help us spread the word. We have already printed up some copies, but we are looking to go big and want YOU in it!

Lots of progress being made in the kennel building for Heartland this weekend! Had a lot of help and we got a couple of the walls done.
Mosby the future therapy dog played both auditor and watchdog! Still a lot of things to get done, but we are getting there!

Thank you to everyone that reached out and have helped with our new building for the kennels! We now have enough drywall and stuff for putting it up as well as the windows! What we still need is insulation and stuff for electrical (wiring etc) and a couple of buckets. You guys and gals are awesome, thank you!

Call to Action for all of our allies out there! Recently, a person who wishes to remain anonymous has provided Heartland with a building and some land for training of our dogs.
We have had some dog runs donated by Pinnacle Pet which is amazing... but the building needs some renovations to make it livable for our dogs in training for kennel work and to stay out of inclement weather.
Just putting it out in the universe what Heartland needs:
4 windows (we just need the glass cut to size)
Tin sheets (enough to cover 20' X 10' of wall)
Insulation
6 sheets of drywall
An electric space heater
3 x 50 gallon trash cans

UPDATE! If there is someone out there that could successfully set up, and get power running out there, that would also be amazing!

We'd like to introduce everyone to Tex! A 5 month old golden recently brought in to the program. Named by the VFW Post 7630 Webb City, MO his training has been sponsored by the Webb VFW, the Webb City Elks Lodge #861 , The American Legion Post 322 Webb City, MO and their Auxiliary.
Rex was donated to Heartland by Griffin Kennels, LLC in Neosho, and we are so thankful to have another dog that is going to change the life of a Veteran and his family!
During socialization time and public obedience training, if you see Tex and our Director out and about, be sure and say hi!
Also, if you would like to make your business a place we stop by and train, shoot us a message, we'd love to come visit!

Little Monday morning shout out to this guy! Rob is VP for our board, the ambassador of yule tide greetings, and a peer group specialist for the VA.
He has dedicated his life to helping others heal and grow. We just wanted to express our gratitude for all he does for Heartland, Veterans and the community.
