🐔 How do our chickens beat the heat? 🐔

We offer them plenty sources of water! Their pool is their favorite, as you see some of them will stand knee deep in it to cool off! We wet their run down, to keep their feet cool on the ground. We also offer them fresh and cold fruit and veggies, watermelon and cantaloupe being their favorite!

Other helpful tips to keep them cool... putting ice or ice packs in their water, fans to keep air moving, and misters they can walk through or stand under.

Make sure all your animals are well HYDRATED during this heat wave!

🥚 We are hatching another round of Jubilee Orpingtons for a customer and this is Day #8 of incubation for this batch! Just look at how active this baby already is, focus on the black dot, very good air sac formed and lots of veins! We just love watching the process and the progress! 🥚
