Meet Chaka 💚

Chaka was surrendered last summer and ended up being the very last dog left when we helped clean the shelter out. He had nowhere to go — and on top of that, he was heartworm positive.

Thankfully, we found him a foster, and after months of waiting and treatment, he has officially completed his final round of heartworm treatment and is finally ready to find his forever home.

Chaka is around 3–4 years old and is VERY high energy. He is hyper, playful, and always on the go, so he absolutely needs an active home with room to run and play. Because he likes to chase cars, a fenced yard would be the safest setup for him. He’s neutered and up to date on vaccines.

He’s good with kids and seems to do well with other dogs too. Most of all, he’s just ready for someone to finally choose him.

He has been waiting almost 10 months for a home of his own, and he deserves one in the worst way.
