I am a non-profit organization and rely on help by good animal loving people like you. Welcome to our page where we are dedicated to saving and caring for feral felines in our community through the power of education and the practice of TNR. My name is Rusti, and I have built a little bit of kitty heaven. I am dedicated to saving as many ferals as I can and am passionate about educating others on

how to combat the astronomical numbers of feral cats world wide ! I release most ferals I trap but will keep all kittens, pregnant mommas and sick or injured kits. The kits I have at my facility now are ones that never left once released or have a lower survival rate in the swamp, so I have integrated them into my existing colony. It's hard work and it's not cheap, but I do what I can with what I've got. I CAN FINALLY TOUCH WILLOW! So many of you may remember the videos I posted where I was explaining how I have used a back scratcher for years to be able to touch certain kits that won’t allow me to touch them. Our bond strengthened and the trust became solid with this beautiful girl! I am so excited that we have come this far and now have a wonderful contact relationship! 😸❤️

Photos like this just melt my heart. Dingus is the last original EMC kit and is one of the oldest kits I have ever had the pleasure of loving. Dingus is 18 years old, and is approaching his last days. He has lost a lot of fur, and is down to about 6 pounds. He has been on medication and supplements to give him strength and keep him going, but those medications can only do so much. I have often said, that once Dingus passes, an era will also pass. Dingus and his family were the primary reason the EMC was built. This post is just to let you know where we stand, emotionally and constructively. Time for ' D***s ' is limited. I may be posting more photos of him in the upcoming weeks just to share his life with you and how important he is and has been to the EMC.
