It’s another Foster Friday!

Meet Roberta, a sweet 4-month-old kitten who’s been thriving in her foster home. Roberta is currently available for adoption and has been staying in foster care while recovering from conjunctivitis.

When she was at the shelter, her eyes just weren’t healing—but after just one week in a calm, loving home, they’ve improved dramatically. Getting her out of the stressful shelter environment gave her immune system the boost it needed, and now she’s feeling (and looking) so much better.

Happy Foster Friday!

Comet’s story is one of resilience. Last year, he came to us injured after being hit by a car—but fast forward to today, and he’s made a full recovery! He’s been thriving in his loving foster home ever since, winning hearts with his goofy personality and sweet spirit.

His foster has nothing but wonderful things to say about him:

“My favorite thing about Comet (and everyone else’s) is the way he insists on fitting into whatever chair you’re sitting in. Without making eye contact, he’ll slowly crawl into your lap in the most awkward way possible, spin around, smush your face with his butt until he’s comfy, and then slide into whatever tiny space is left. Whenever he does it, my roommates and I say, ‘I fit here…’ in our ‘Comet voice.’

Comet loves everyone! He’s very smart (and knows how to get his way), perfectly house-trained, and has great manners. He never steals food or chews things he shouldn’t, but he does love stealing cardboard boxes from the recycling bin! He’s a box thief through and through, but never touches anything he’s not supposed to.

He has a lovely demeanor, enjoys walks, playtime, and mental stimulation, and is happy to snuggle when it’s time to relax. He doesn’t lick (a big plus in my book) but will sniff your ears as aggressively as he can for as long as you’ll let him—it’s hilarious and everyone loves it. Oh, and he loves every dog he meets!”

While Comet is thriving in foster, he’s still searching for his forever home.

T**i has the most adorable frosted face. At 8 years old, she spent 7 happy years in a loving home—but sadly, she's now back at the shelter because her family couldn’t take her with them. For a senior like T**i, the shelter environment can be especially tough.

She’s the sweetest girl and would love nothing more than to be a couch potato, enjoying her golden years in a calm, loving home. T**i is housebroken, has excellent manners, and is such an easygoing companion. She loves treats, toys, and might even show off her party trick if you have a snack in hand!

Join us in celebrating 65 incredible years of compassion, care, and second chances at Patty Baker Humane Society Naples! Here is Oreo and Jean's story:

"My husband passed away in January 2025. The house was way too quiet with his passing and no pets left. I went to Patty Baker Humane Society Naples in February and asked about their senior cats. That is where I found a beautiful male tuxedo cat, then named Figaro. He is a senior (8 years) and so am I. His name is now Oreo and I really don't know who saved who. He is a perfect gentleman and travels well since I am a snowbird and fly back North in the Spring. I strongly encourage seniors to adopt seniors. It is a win win for both!

Autumn had the best time on her Rescue Recess adventure! This sweet, senior gal got to spend time playing at the park with her new friends before enjoying a delicious pup cup.

Autumn is eight years old, loves to explore, and enjoys the company of both people and other dogs! She is available for adoption from our main shelter location, opened Tuesday-Sunday from 12:30-4:30pm.
