He joined Barking Beauties Pet Salon and Wellness as a teenager with zero grooming experience and entered our apprenticeship at the same starting point we offer everyone: federal minimum wage while learning the foundations of bathing, prep work, safety, and handling.

Today he has advanced into the next phase of our program and now earns 40% commission. His current income averages $150–$300 per day — W‑2 pay, after taxes are taken out.

He works Tuesday through Saturday, no nights, with Sundays and Mondays off. He’s not even 18 yet, and he’s already building real income, real skills, and real financial independence while finishing homeschool.
