Missing this guy a little extra today.
The first season without him and I miss him so much.

The hard thing about horses is they can live 30+ years… which is both a blessing and a curse. You get so much lifetime with them that they become part of your every normal.

Since I was a little kid, I’ve looked out into the pasture and he was always there. Through childhood, growing up, becoming a wife, becoming a mom… he was just always there.

Now I’m 37 and for the first time in my life, I look out and he’s gone.

And I honestly can’t remember a life before him.
