Ages: Perfection doesn’t age
Breed: Cheese Monger (aka - West Highland Terrier)

We are Dorothy and Scout and yes, we are a packaged deal. We do not trust you at first, BUT, if you give us treats, we will give you a chance. Maybe. Possibly. Don’t expect it every time you see us - might take a few tries for us to warm up to you. Once we do, you are very welcome! We do love when Cara and Julie come over to see us - Dorothy provides the cuddles and Scout provides the protection (and cuddles!). We love our people and we love being together 🥰

❤️ Likes:
Snacks and treats (yes, those are two different things)
Our outdoor toys (like our little obstacle course!)
Cara and Julie singing to us - our favorite was their rendition of Missy Elliott’s “One Minute Man” and we absolutely hated the 90’s hit “Macarena” (FYI reader, this is 100% based on a true story)

Yard work - what do you mean you need to use the w**d whacker?? You mean the evil device trying to capture our souls?!?! Nice try, not on our watch

💕 Why We Love Dorothy and Scout: Dorothy and Scout are such a sweet pair. Gaining their trust was so magical, it really makes you feel like you’re the “chosen one”! Being able to visit them brings such joy to our day - who doesn’t love endless cuddles with these two angels?! Scout really looks out for Dorothy, if she’s even slightly uncomfortable, he is right there to help her. They really are the dream team!

Rory is always up for a good time and Maybelle is very good at making sure everyone is following the rules. Being able to have them in our home brings such joy and playfulness - you can’t help but smile!

Name: Bitsy (also known as - Bits and Bobs)
Age: She’s little (but don’t tell her that!)
Breed: Gargoyle (but technically, she’s a Frenchie)

I’M BITSY!!! I’m such a big girl, and my favorite thing to do of all time is bite my big brother Lucky’s legs. I find most big dogs need to know who’s in charge - it’s me! Don’t let my super small stature and sweetness fool you, I am the toughest girl on the block. And if you don’t believe me, well, at least come over here and rub my belly. Cara & Julie keep calling me "little", but I know I’m big! I may be small, but my attitude is larger than life - and so is my love for causing a little (harmless) chaos.

❤️ Likes:
-Rolling in mud on walks
-Tummy scratches
-Chasing after the big dogs at Cara & Julie’s house (Bitsy is DEFINITELY the alpha!)

💕 Why We Love Bitsy: Bitsy is such a love. She knows how to keep everyone in line whilst making sure she’s not being too tough and that no one is getting left out. The way she carries herself is so funny and sweet - any time we get to be around Bitsy is a good one! She’s a lovely little baby and we’re so thankful she’s deemed us worthy enough to take her on walks 🥰

Ages: We’ve been around but we’ll always be babies 🥰
Breed: Labrador Retrievers (but we mostly just call them cute!)

Hello fellow South Haven residents! We’re Bear and Ryker - the bestest boys - and we are so happy you’re here! You won’t find more gentle dogs than us - we’ll even sit there looking at you lovingly whilst we get our hair brushed (side note: bring a huge trash bag for all the hair!). We’re getting up there in age but it doesn’t stop us from playing out front or participating in a baseball game in our backyard. Bear in particular was really good at helping grab the fly balls and Ryker thoroughly enjoyed watching the game play out in the stands (i.e. the back porch). We have so much love to give - hence why we’re the bestest boys!

❤️ Likes:
Walking around with our babies (i.e. their toys)
Sitting on the front porch watching all the excitement of South Haven
Taking our medicine (no, really! It’s like a little treat!)

🚫 Dislikes:
One dog getting more attention than the other. We’re both precious and you have TWO arms!!

💕 Why We Love Bear and Ryker: Bear and Ryker are such kind, gentle boys. They’re so easy-going and are a joy to watch! Even when there was a sudden thunderstorm when Cara was watching them, they were so brave and helpful in making sure Cara and the house was safe (after Cara gave them their babies, made sure all the lights were on and flashlights were available, and she sang them a song - THEN the bravery kicked in 😉)

*staring at you with the most intense cuteness you ever did see* I’m Shep! I love seeing Cara & Julie for Doggy Day Care, sniffing all the other dogs, and getting attention from anything breathing. I also have a deep passion for eating plants - they can be in a pot, on the ground, w**ds, grass, a bush - if it’s something that grows from the ground, I want it in my mouth and to roll in it (not necessarily in that order). Everyone always comments on how cute I am, but I’m really just out here living my best life.

❤️ Likes:
-Being picked up to be taken up and/or down the stairs
-Running after the other doggies at day care
-Nap time with the humans (all humans accepted for nap time cuddles)

🚫 Dislikes:
When Cara takes the rabbit p**p right out of my mouth - what is UP with that??

💕 Why We Love Shep: Shep is so delicious and nutritious! He is such a sweet little baby and somehow also a big brown bear (genuinely, watching him walk is SO entertaining and cute). He doesn’t know how to not be the most precious and we absolutely love our Shep cuddles. Watching him explore the world around him is so beautiful and entertaining - he just fills our hearts with joy! And of course, whenever we take him on Cara & Julie adventures, people initially think we’re carrying a teddy bear (this has genuinely happened multiple times!).
