Prairie Valley Gundogs is excited to announce a planned breeding that has quite literally been in the works for several years now. The wheels have been set in motion, and we are finally moving forward with our Creed x Cruse pairing!

Creed is an exceptional birddog out of the legendary Sharp Shooter's Kennel. Creed comes from a long line of NAVHDA and AKC Champion stud dogs. Creed is the culmination of more than three decades of intentional breeding and development by Clyde and Marilyn Vetter and is, by all accounts, a phenomenal representation of a working German Shorthaired Pointer.

Also from Sharp Shooter lines, Cruse is the complete package in both the field and at home. She has an exceptional nose, a natural instinct to find birds, and covers the field with purpose and intensity while maintaining beautiful range and search. Her pointing style is strong and steady, and she consistently demonstrates the drive and bird-sense that makes her a perfect representation of the GSP breed both in the field and on water. Cruse is extremely biddable and has been able to adapt and excel in all venues of birddog sports that she has been exposed to so far. In the house, she is calm, gentle, and easygoing, making her a joy to live with. She combines outstanding hunting ability with a docile, affectionate temperament that makes her truly special and one-of-a-kind.

Hugo, oh Hugo... Where to begin? This boy puts so much heart into EVERYTHING he does that I shouldn't have been surprised that he did what he did his first show out: Best in Specialty Sweeps, Winners Dog/Best of Winners, and four Reserve Winners placements, all with a brand new handler he'd not worked with before and while staying overnight at the noisy, chaotic show site. This little dude's future is bright; I cannot wait to see where all he takes us. Hugo is loved and co-owned by Scott Schmidt and Audrey McSperitt Schmidt.

Daphne is one of our up-and-coming puppies from our January 2026 Ice x Daisy litter. As pretty as she is, she's a birddog through and through and loves tearing through our training field in pursuit of birds. We took Daphne to Houston as she *just* turned 6 months old and became eligible in the conformation ring. Her very first time out produced two Reserve Winners Bitch ribbons! Daphne is co-owned and loved by Travis and Amanda Wiedemann. You might recognize her from her VIRAL going home video we posted earlier this year!

We are still riding on Cloud Nine after coming home from a very successful Houston Dog Show this year. Our goal was to keep pushing Inca towards the finish line for her show title, but all she heard was 'finish your title', so she did! She went into Houston needing one major and 5 points, and received exactly that from Judge Ken Murray when he awarded her Winners Bitch/Best of Winners in the very first All Breed show of the 6-show cluster. As if that weren't enough, she and her half-brother, Hugo, went on to win Best in Sweeps and Best of Opposite S*x in Sweeps in a field of 10 very nice puppies later that day, making us very happy breeders!
