Remi’s Place is growing, and we’re looking for the right person to join our team as a groomer/kennel hand, with the opportunity for additional hours as the position grows.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves dogs, is dependable, patient, hardworking, and has a strong desire to groom. Grooming experience would be wonderful, but we’re also open to someone who is eager to learn, improve their skills, and grow with us.

This position may include assisting with bathing, drying, grooming, cleaning, and the daily care of boarding and daycare dogs. We’re looking for someone who understands that working with animals can be messy and physically demanding, but also incredibly rewarding.

More than anything, we want someone who will treat every dog with patience, kindness, and care.

🐾🌾 SIOUXLAND DOG FAMILIES… we’ve been dreaming up something pretty fun. 🚌

We love getting to raise our family and care for your pups out here in the country — but we also know being a little ways outside of town isn’t always the most convenient.

So we started thinking…

What if we came to YOU? 👀

Meet a little idea we’re calling…

🚌🐾 K9 COUNTRY CRUISE
by Remi’s Place

Imagine getting your pup ready in the morning and never having to leave your house.

The Country Cruiser pulls up, we pick up your pup right from home, and off they go for their own little day in the country. 🌾🐶

They’d spend the day at Remi’s Place enjoying daycare, friends, outdoor time, sniffing, exploring, enrichment, rest breaks and all the fun that comes with a day away from home.

And depending on the pup and the day, there could even be some safe, supervised country experiences with our mini cows, goats, donkeys and other farm friends. 🐮🐐

Then at the end of the day…

🚌 Back aboard the Country Cruiser they go.

🏡 And we bring them right back home to you.

No morning drive to daycare.

No rushing across town after work for pickup.

Just open your door in the morning and get back one happy, tired country pup that evening. 😂🐾

And for our grooming families… ✂️

Pups on a recurring Remi’s Place grooming schedule could potentially have their groom completed during their Cruise day when they’re due.

Daycare + transportation + grooming appointment handled without you making a single trip. 🙌

We’re currently exploring offering K9 Country Cruise one day each week, with a limited number of pups per route.

We anticipate pricing being approximately $65–$70 per dog, which would include:

🐾 Door-to-door pickup
🚌 Round-trip transportation
🌾 A full daycare day at Remi’s Place
🐶 Play, exercise & enrichment
🐮Potential meet & greet with farm animals
🏡 Door-to-door return home

But here’s the thing…

We haven’t decided where the Country Cruiser should go yet!

Mapleton?
Somewhere we haven’t thought of?

Wow…

The results were posted a couple of days after we were hit by the tornado and naturally life was crazy as we got everything back in working order.

Seeing Remi’s Place earn Platinum in the 2026 CommunityVotes Sioux City awards for Pet Grooming, Kennels, and Pet Sitting is something we don’t take for granted.

🗓️Starting August 1st, 2026 🌻

We’re making a few updates to our client hours to help us provide the best care possible for all of our furry guests while also allowing us to maintain a consistent routine for our family.

Beginning soon, our client drop-off & pick-up hours will be:

☀️ Morning: 7:00–10:00 AM
🌅 Evening: 4:00–7:00 PM

Boarding & Daycare
🐾 Drop-off and pickup are available during either the morning or evening window.

Grooming
✂️ Morning drop-off only (7:00–10:00 AM). We’ll text you when your pup is ready for pickup, and pickup is available during our evening client hours.

Need a different time? Just let us know before your appointment or stay. When our schedule allows, we’re happy to accommodate pre-arranged appointments.
