Its time to retire the "dog" sofa. Everything in here gets urinated on...big surprise 😮 so I always try to get cheap/used ones that I don't care about. This ones stinky & I will only sit on it with my overalls on 🤣

If anyone has a small couch of some kind thats somewhat decent & ya want to get rid of it, let me know! The dogs will enjoy it ❤️

I have to share what I found! I am not a fan of nylon bones, why would it be good for dogs to ingest plastic?! These are made with food grade ingredients & have different densities. ❤️ You can find these on chewy!

Important Update: Boarding Rate Change Starting October 1, 2025

Hello friends and valued clients,

I want to share an important update regarding our boarding rates. Beginning October 1, 2025, our nightly boarding cost will increase by $5, making it $38 per night for single dogs. Discounts for multiple dog families: 2 dog family: $64/night; 3 dog family: $86/night; 4 dog family: $105/night; 5 dog family: $121/night.

All bookings currently on the calendar will be locked into the current pricing—unless you’d like to help me out by opting into the new rate! Your support means the world to me.

As a small business, every increase in daily operations—whether it’s cleaning supplies, insurance, groceries, or the essentials my family needs—has a big impact. I’ve worked hard to avoid raising prices, but it has become inevitable. I do not want to start cutting corners with cleaning & quality of care to save money, not how I want to run this place.

Please continue to support local small businesses during these challenging times. Even small changes can make a big difference for us.

Changes are happening around here in big ways! I am now offering late check-out for dog boarding between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM, available seven days a week. This service is available by special request for a $25 fee. Please let me know in advance if you’d like to arrange a late pick-up.

I have news, news that most of you will be sad about. I know I am...Marina & her family are not coming back to Arkansas. Another family emergency has come up involving a cancer diagnosis & they need to be there. That's all I am going to say about her personal life, so please let's respect their privacy.

She is a gem whom I cannot replace, literally. She was certified through PetsMart, so I really only had to teach what she shouldn't be doing ie, shaving Husky's, etc. The grooming industry is so unregulated, with most around here not certified to any extent and/or have such bad habits that I'd probably pull all my hair out, & I am honestly not willing to train someone. I have the boarding & daycare that keeps me busy 7 days a week, & my body has physical limitations that I just cannot throw out the window, or I'll be miserable.

However, I would like to offer boarding clients the option of exit baths when/if needed. But literally just baths with nail trims & ear cleanings. But, that creates another problem, in that those services might not be needed daily, so trying to find someone willing to basically have an open schedule is crazy to me. And then, if I hire someone & they don't show up for a shift, the baths won't get done because I cannot do them & then I look dumb. These types of conundrums, as a business owner, make me scream into pillows LOL.

So, I don't know what to do. Any ideas? Does anyone want to do baths with the understanding that your schedule is based on what the client's schedule? Maybe I'll get lucky & there's a groomer out there with some education/training/experience that understands shaving a Husky is bad & needs a job!

I will be calling all of her clients tomorrow who are on the schedule. I have no idea where to send everyone to. I don't think anyone local is taking new clients. Batesville has several that pop up on Google, along with Mountain Home. Ugh.
