Hi everyone! 🐾

I wanted to take a second to introduce myself for anyone new here and share a little more about who’s behind Fallcreek Grooming & Boarding.

My name is Cody, and animals have truly been the center of my life for as long as I can remember. Before opening Fallcreek, I spent years working as a veterinary technician in emergency and general practice medicine, which gave me experience handling everything from anxious pets to seniors, medical cases, and dogs that may need a little extra patience and understanding. I have also been grooming since I was 19. (29 now, getting old!)

Fallcreek was built because I wanted something different from the fast-paced, high-volume environments so many pets struggle in. My goal has always been to create a calmer, more personal experience where pets are treated like family instead of appointments on a schedule. I like to take my experience from being a certified trainer, certified groomer and also an emergency veterinarian technician to cultivate something that not only handles the pets needs but also provides a way to move forward and make it easier next time!

I work one-on-one with many of my grooming dogs, take my time, and focus heavily on comfort grooming. That means paying attention to stress levels, body language, and what each individual pet needs to feel safe. Some dogs need extra breaks, reassurance, slower introductions, or just someone patient enough to meet them where they are and that’s okay here.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the trust people place in me with their pets. A lot of my clients come to me after struggling to find the right fit elsewhere, especially for nervous, elderly, or high-maintenance dogs, and it means a lot to be able to help them feel comfortable again.

I do have a few grooming openings available this Saturday if anyone has been needing to get their pup cleaned up, deshedded, or summer-ready! Appointments tend to fill quickly once weekends open up.

His owners can’t keep him anymore due to health concerns and he is looking for a new home. He was fostered but it isn’t working out so they are looking to rehoming quickly.

He is having a hard time settling into a home with multiple pets, so he would do best in a calmer environment. Doesn’t like other pups or cats.

Fallcreek is shifting a little right now and I’ve been blown away by how many of you have checked in and reminded me why I do what I do. This place was built on trust and community and your pets have truly become part of my everyday life.

Tank just finished up a relaxing bath before checking out from his stay so we had to get some glamour shots! He’s been such a good boy the whole time and enjoyed his walks, playtime, and all the extra attention (he was glued to my side). He’s all fresh, clean, and ready to head home 🐶✨

✨this post shows you how “blowing out the coat” actually lifts the undercoat to the top of the coat✨
The deshedding process is designed to remove loose undercoat, reduce shedding, and keep your pet’s skin and coat healthier. I start with a full brush out using tools that gently lift out the loose undercoat without damaging the topcoat. After that, your pet gets a bath with a deshedding shampoo and conditioner that help loosen the dead hair even more and nourish the skin.

Once they’re fully rinsed, I use a high velocity dryer to blow out the remaining undercoat. This step makes a huge difference because it helps remove hair that regular brushing can’t reach. After the blow out, I do a final brush out to make sure the coat is smooth, clean, and as shed free as possible.

The end result is less shedding at home, a healthier coat, and better air flow to their skin. It’s a gentle, step by step process that keeps your pet comfortable while giving you a big reduction in loose hair.
