I have felt the excitement of building something from nothing, the fulfillment of seeing your dog-inclusive weddings come to life.
2024 was a year of growth, the kind that brings clarity, challenge, and transformation as we transitioned from living in New Zealnd for half the year over the last 7 years to living back in Charleston fulltime. I intily planned to take time off time figure out what I wanted to do next, but then y’alll made it clear to me before I was even back in the States, that your dogs needed me.
I answered that call for in-home dog sitting immediately, but my vision for The Wag ‘n Wed quickly evolved far beyond its previous version as an unnamed side hustle.
A vision that in less than a year would reshape what dog-inclusive weddings across the Lowcountry look and feel like.
But in a space with a low barrier to entry (ie-love for dogs or a desire ro mqke some “quick cash”), I have remained committed to elevating what it means to be a dog wedding planner. Because as a former boutique, destination wedding planner, it's about more than just loving dogs. It's about precision in coordination and logistics, a deep understanding of wedding etiquette and customs, and the ability to move seamlessly with a creative team to ensure every dog is comfortable (even in the brutal Charleston summer months), cared for, and present for the moments that matter most.
I've built a business I'm incredibly proud of. A one-of-a-kind business that captures the emotion of what it feels like to celebrate one of the best days of your life with your fur babe(s) by your side. But, also one that celebrates your dog EVERY DAY by providing walks and visits filled with love, joy + adventure.
