We are very excited to announce affordable veterinary care is coming to Mt P!🐾

🐾💞We spent all of 2023 and 2024 saying, “something has to give” and, “we cannot rescue our way out of this.” Shelters are packed, there are more and more strays, and families that could once afford care for their beloved pets are reaching to afford basics. Multiple times a week I get calls from various vets looking to help a client that they cannot. Most often due to financial constraints. Vets are fighting with all they have to save animals. For far too long there has been very few places to direct them to. In December of this year, after a particularly dismal day, I went to my board with an insane idea (and I do maintain that this is an insane idea) and said what if… What if we make that space to send them to? What if we are that place? What if we build a place for the COMMUNITY? What if we can offer affordable care to those in need? Realizing I sounded completely insane, I waited to see their reaction. Britt was the first to respond and the answer was, “Hell yes, let’s do it!” Kelly, Emily and Christina all met that with agreement.
We wanted to build a place for the community, where care is affordable, animals come first, and we can help those in need. You may have noticed the slow down in intake, it’s killed me to say no so many times, we have taken only animals in dire need this year- it may have seemed as though we weren’t there. The reality though, we’ve been working harder than we ever have before. In January Community Pet Wellness will open its doors and serve our community. We’ll offer affordable veterinary care to all. The days of seeing posts with people searching for help and not having a response will be over. We’ll be there. We need you to be there and show up for us too, and we know you will. You always have.🐾💞
