More on the life and times of Stock Show Gear. I made another post regarding this that I don’t think posted. This is number 2 tire in 300 or less miles. This one canceled the trip home, added a hotel night and added extra pet sitting time.

If you are thinking about vending something in the road…..sometimes (lots of times) it is no fun and a little (lot) bit scary, disappointing, disheartening. But tomorrow is a new day!

Thoughts as I am on Support Chat with Etsy: for anyone buying on Etsy for business....

Do you know that if you submit your resale tax form to them that they cannot charge you sales tax on items sent to your business address AND that you have to ask for a refund EVERYTIME?

This leads me to wonder how many people out there buying from Etsy for business resale (especially now that Etsy is allowing EVERYTHING to be sold on their platform) do not know this information?

That leads me to wonder: 1. What is Etsy doing with all that extra sale tax they are collecting? 2. How far back is one able to go to request a refund? 3. Would anything implode if EVERYONE started requesting those refunds?

Mind you, you DO have to have submitted your Resale Tax form to them. If you have not - do it now and then follow up on each QUALIFIED purchase to ask for your money back. Of course you cannot ask for that sales tax back on purchases made prior to sending them your information.

Just a tip.

Find us at Magnolia Classic Fall Brawl (really their Spring show) this weekend in Hattiesburg, MS. We welcome folks from the Mississippi Brahman Association to come by during their event as well. Find lots of cattle inspired drink ware, keychains, stickers, phone cases and license plates. While you are there we will be taking orders for signs, banners and and custom items too. We can use your awesome photos if we don't have the perfect graphic for you.

I’m just wondering a myriad of things and maybe having a little bit of a struggle.

Does our market know we ship? Do people wonder what happens to our business and products when we aren’t at a show? What is the real reason our online sales are slim compared to the popularity of our booth at events? Can I stick with my “no to low” advertising thinking-not a fan of the barrage of ads we see daily or minute-ly-I don’t want to bug you!

I think I’ll drop a few more of them here to get them off my mind.

1. Would anyone want to know the availability of what’s hanging around here, ready to ship?

2. If I posted items from a “Barn”, ie-the Sheep Barn, the Dairy Cow Barn, the Pygmy Goat stall, would anyone see and engage with me?

3. Why do we even give out business cards? 10 plus years of that….1000’s-what is the return?

4. Should I stay or should I go? That one could mean a lot of things…

5. If you ordered one, can I send you a brand new hoodie that comes with its very own barn smell (no scratch and sniff needed!) because we were set up at OYE (or any other event where we are near the animals)? It’s the nature of our business. Would you be offended?
