HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Legendary actor Dick Van D**e turns 100 years old today!

During a street theatre performance in Turkey, actor Numan Ertuğrul Uzunsoy lay on the ground as part of an intense scene, playing a character in visible pain. The audience watched in silence, fully absorbed in the act.

Then something unscripted happened. A stray dog wandered out of the crowd, walked straight onto the performance space, and gently approached Uzunsoy. It nudged him, rested its head on his body, and placed a paw on him — as if comforting someone it believed was truly hurt.

The performance stopped. The audience realized this wasn’t part of the script. Uzunsoy later said the moment moved him deeply. The pain was acted. The compassion wasn’t.

In a scene built on performance, the most powerful response came from instinct — no lines, no direction, no understanding of theatre. Just empathy.
