5 years ago today I finished building my dinosaur saddle. My mentor, Duncan Vezain, taught me how to build my first saddle. After a few weeks of practicing on smaller projects, I dove in to about 2 weeks worth of work to build my saddle while still riding colts that summer. I really wanted to carve and make something unique, so I chose my two passions: dinosaurs and cowboying. I found an artist who had made almost all the artwork you see. His name is Shaun Keenan and is currently working on a movie titled: Dinosaurs of the Wild West. I reached out to him and got written permission to use his artwork. I stenciled each design on to leather by hand, carved it, textured it, and then finally painted it. Hardware placement was the hardest part as I did not think of where to place my conchos while carving the design. We still enjoy doing leatherwork and plan to be purchasing a larger sewing machine to begin making saddles from our home in Minnesota.

Welcome to the world Tulip! Tulip was born sometime in the early morning today. Her mother, Daisy, is one of the first longhorns we bought and brought from Arizona. It’s amazing to have our first calf from one of our first cows!

We are looking for fall horses for training! As we begin to round out our summer rush, we are looking for clients for the fall. We can work horse on riding, driving, packing, and tune ups. We also work with studs, stud colts, yearlings, and 2 year olds. Please let us know if you’d like us to work with you and your horse on anything they need. We have references available upon request!

Looking for old tack! Hey there, if you have any old tack, harness, or saddles that are beyond repair feel free to reach out to us! We’d be happy to build you a split ear headstall in exchange. We are mainly looking to upcycle old hardware from deteriorating tack.

Picture: these are few examples of split ears that I’d make in return. These split ears were made with upcycled buckles from old tack
