A compassionate 12‑year‑old volunteer named Dylan, at Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue in Georgia, transformed the life of a puppy named Gracie, who was born without front legs, by ingeniously crafting a custom wheelchair from LEGO bricks. Finding that commercially available carts were too large for Gracie’s small size, Dylan built a lightweight, adjustable structure, complete with velcro harnesses, that allowed the pup to stand, trot, and play just like her littermates. As she grew, he adapted the design, swapping out parts and adding bigger wheels to suit her needs .

Thanks to Dylan’s creativity and dedication, Gracie now experiences a fuller, happier life, running, fetching, and climbing stairs, with newfound confidence and mobility. His simple yet profound gesture exemplifies the impact young people can make when they combine empathy with ingenuity.
