Canine Extreme is a family owned and operated business located on 33 acres in Morriston, Florida. Owners Raul & Colby Hernandez specialize in offering a wide range of German Shepherds from puppies to full grown and fully trained adults. Canine Extreme offers complete training services that cover everything from law enforcement to private executive protection dogs. With many years’ experience in the business both Raul and Colby have managed to produce countless working K9 throughout the USA as well as 10 other countries. At Canine Extreme they believe not only in providing their customers with top quality German Shepherds, but top performance dogs as well.

Raul and Colby both maintain memberships with the German Shepherd Club of America (GSDCA), The United States Schutzhund Club of America (USA/SV) and are Certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluators (CGC) in accordance with the American Kennel Club (AKC).

Owner & Head Trainer Raul Hernandez is certified with Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and he is an instructor in all High Liabilities.

Now with more than 25 years of experience, Raul has a reputation as one of the top quality breeders and importers of German Shepherds. He is also well known for his training program and success in the law enforcement and military K9 field. For many years Raul has mentored, taught and provided K9 teams not only for the USA but across the globe. He is world renowned in the USA and Europe for his techniques and ability to make a perfect working team come together.

As a former Sergeant Law Enforcement K-9 Unit Officer, Raul was assigned to the FBI Task Force, assisted in training, and performed searches for U.S. Customs, U.S.C.G. and U.S. Navy. Raul's career enjoyed much success, working with his loyal K-9 partner ‘Boye’ in the fight against drugs. The pair accomplished several high profile drug seizures, receiving many commendations, and setting numerous records during their tenure. After retiring from law enforcement in 2000, Raul has remained the current K-9 unit trainer for the Key West Police Department.

At Canine Extreme there is a rigorous selection process that takes place when selecting the right dogs to enter the program for Law Enforcement and Executive Protection Dogs. Out of 200 dogs tested, often only 10 to 15 will actually be selected for this type of program. Canine Extreme requires that in order to enter their training program the dog must have good hips/elbows, social temperament, work ethic, strong hunt drive and confidence under pressure. It is due to their strict curriculum and eye for talent that Canine Extreme is so well known for having such successful K9’s in the field.
