Bins are a great organizing tool, but sometimes they end up being another "catch-all" spot where clutter goes to die! In this client's case, the large wicker baskets were too big for the space and things were getting lost in there.

We decluttered, sorted and moved the bins out, and I scaled back the look and made sure all her office supplies are within easy reach and visible. 😊 Swipe for the before pic!

I think this has to be one of my favorite organizing projects so far. While I like The Home Edit's rainbow formula for displaying books, as a reader, I don’t always see it as practical. In this case however, the home is a furnished spot for renters, so this design works and is visually pleasing. 🌈

Many have read this book, but I recommend picking it up again if you feel stuck in your organizing projects. Its's incredibly motivating, even if you don't follow all of her advice to the letter.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

No home is perfect - because people live there! Be careful not to become paralyzed by perfection as you work to organize. The point of organization is to make your life feel lighter, calmer and less stressed. If you achieve that, you've won. Getting stuck being focused on perfectly matching bins and zero mess is not sustainable or reasonable for anyone. So allow your space to be imperfect! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
