CT2V competitor, Deanna Kohley, with her horse, Mage, are conquering the wobble pedestal.

The pedestal mimics a moving rock or footing which can be a common occurrence while trail riding.

We need our equine to be calm to keep us safe.

CT2V competitor, Adisyn Alley, on Nugget displays excellent head placement. Good ole Nugget, kept an ear on where Adisyn was looking while checking out the photographer.

And does everyone see that the helmet matches the bridle cheek piece, and matches the shirt! And we see that clean flowing mane with the May CT2V event not being a "clean flowing mane" weekend.

The Kentucky State CT2V Championship series has its second of three events this weekend!

Champion and Reserve Champion Buckle for the Versatility Overall High Point. Ribbons for the top three at each competition.

What is CT2V? Country Tough Trail Versatility

There are three parts to the versatility:
Obstacles, with NO points for speed
Ranch Horsemanship, a pattern with transitions such as stop, walk, trot, extended trot (loping is not in the patterns for novices)
Trail, using what you learned on the trail

There are TWO in-hand divisions: Foundations I & Foundations II.
There's even a lead line division called Buckaroo.

You are qualified for the 8th Annual CT2V National Championship held in Missouri by competing in the Kentucky State CT2V Championship.

Join us June 27-28, 2026 for the FINALS to see how everyone will place in the championship series! Ribbons for the top 10 at each of the competitions in the MO State Championship Series at Von Holten Ranch and buckles for Champion and Reserve Champion in Trail Boss, Bronc Buster, Maverick, Wrangler, Trail Blazer, Youth, Green Horn, Futurity, Foundations I, and Foundations II. Champion buckle for Buckaroo.

We had already put them in the notebook and had it for competitors to look at, but I don't know that you all knew that in May. We always have the raw data for you to see at the awards.
