My Story

I started Ryan’s Heart and Paws Vermont because I love helping people and dogs connect in a real way. My approach is simple: calm leadership, practical training, and working right alongside families to build trust and a proper dog-human relationship that lasts.

Living in Vermont, the seasons shape everything I do. In summer, I’m out on the trails finding brooks and ponds so the dogs can drink and swim. Winter brings the cold and snow, and I break out the snow shoes and the mushers to keep my dogs feet protected. And then mud season has its own challenges, safe driving and hiking every day. Through it all, I’m walking, training, and adventuring with dogs, because that’s what it takes to build relationships that hold steady no matter what nature throws our way.

Heart & Paws Vermont isn’t just a business to me. It’s a promise; every dog deserves adventure, dignity, and someone who gives them an outlet to fulfill some primal instincts, year after year, season after season.
