Sadly, we lost our Single today. I was looking back through soooo many photos and memories, so many riders. It was amazing to know that many of those small faces of littles are now full fledged teen-agers or adults now. I'm not sure how many of them still see this page, but if you do, I'm sure you can go back and find cute photos of yourself with Single. She didn't like boisterous rowdy people or other horses that might bully her (and her ears would let you know), but her sweet center that she would show you when she knew you were gentle and kind won everyone over in the end. She had a perfect can-do unfazeable attitude that made her the best on obstacles. She loved to swim and patiently let kids jump off her broad back. Her "you just sit back and don't interfere, I got this" made her great for taking care of beginners in the arena or out on the trail. But if she had enough zing to make it fun for the more experienced riders. And when I lost my confidence by riding a crazy horse for too long, she is the one that put a smile back on my face when I'd almost forgotten the joy of riding.
