Our puppies are not budget friendly, because we don’t raise them on a budget.
And I get messages all the time saying my puppies are out of budget, or asking if my price is negotiable, or people just being rude.
Im just going to be upfront, I’ll never lower my prices, or standards to meet yours.
Because the quality, the time, the intention, the heart that goes into these puppies that’s not something I can bargain with.
These are living, breathing little souls.
Not a product or sale item.
If anything, I’d be concerned if a puppy was cheap.
And I see it all the time in Facebook groups.
“Looking for a Goldendoodle under $1,000.”
And I just bite my tongue….
What I want to say is
puppies don’t just end up that cheap without something being sacrificed along the way.
Less time.
Less care.
Less exposure.
Less health testing.
Less intention.
And those “lesses”… don’t always show up right away.
Sometimes they show up later,
when your puppy is terrified of everything.
When grooming is a fight.
When they can’t settle in your home.
When health issues pop up that could’ve been prevented.
That’s the part people don’t think about in the moment.
But I don’t say all that because people take offense, and I understand that. Nobody wants to feel judged for what they can afford.
So I just hush my mouth and let people learn over time.
But if you’re here reading this, I want you to understand it from me,
There are no corners cut here.
Not in health, not in how they’re raised, not in what goes into them from the very beginning.
That lifetime health guarantee I offer that’s not just something that sounds nice.
I offer it because I truly stand behind what I’m producing and the work that goes into it.
From day one, these babies are raised with intention.
They’re handled daily, exposed to real life different sounds, grooming, car rides, new environments… all the little things that turn into big things later.
Because I’m not just raising cute puppies.
I’m raising dogs you have to live with.
Dogs that need to be confident, stable, and easy to bring into your everyday life.
They’re raised right here in my home, part of my routine, under my feet not off somewhere being “checked on.”
You can absolutely find a cheaper puppy.
Craigslist, PuppyFinder, Puppies.com, Facebook groups, even shelters… they’re everywhere.
But most of the time, if it’s cheaper… something, somewhere, was skipped.
And I’ll say this, price alone doesn’t mean quality either. There are breeders charging the same or more than us but doing the bare minimum. We are definitely not the most expensive, because we want people to be able to afford our puppies, but we aren't anywhere near the most expensive either.
So don’t just look at the price look at the program.
Ask questions.
Ask about health testing.
Ask how they’re raised.
Ask yourself if those puppies look confident… or unsure.
Trust your gut.
I renently sent a video to a potential family, and they kept saying how impressed they were seeing fully health tested parents (Embark + OFA), watching the puppies move confidently around, how social and comfortable they already were.
And to me… that’s just normal.
Puppies should be wagging their tails, playing, curious, and happy.
They told me they had talked to other breeders, and those puppies weren’t like mine they were shy, unsure, not engaging… and there was no health testing.
And that right there is exactly why I won’t lower my standards to meet a cheaper price point.
Because how we raise our puppies has value.
And this isn’t just buying a puppy
This is 10–15 years of your life.
Your routines. Your home. Your family.
What you choose in the beginning you live with later. I think that is why people keep coming back, for a second or even a third puppy from us.
What goes into these puppies adds up quickly, the best food, health
testing, reproductive care, vet visits, grooming exposure, curriculum, supplies… and the time, energy, and consistency it takes to do it right.
And then being there for my families long after pickup day.
It’s a lot.
But it matters.
We’re not a large scale breeder.
We’re not a puppy store.
We’re a small, program raising these puppies and pouring love into them every single day.
And I’m so grateful for the families who see that, value that, and trust us with something so important.
Because at the end of the day…
This isn’t just a purchase, it is adding a new family member.
It’s the best investment you’ll ever make.
