Following this passion, he became a certified Veterinary Technician in Madrid and worked training Schutzhund to police dogs in Barcelona, Spain. While still living in Spain Alberto attended his first dog show and decided that he wanted to work with show dogs. Soon after, he came to the United States to work for world-famous Miniature Schnauzer breeder Beverly Verna of Regency fame. Alberto worked
and mentored under Bev until her passing. He went to work for world-renowned professional handlers Bill and Taffe McFadden where he worked and received mentorship for a few years. Rachel
Since she was young Rachel has always loved animals. At 9 years old she began showing in Junior Showmanship, where she developed a love for the sport. At age 15 eager to learn Rachel started working for world renown professional handlers Bill and Taffe McFadden on the weekend at dog shows. During this time, she met John Oulton of Cadaga Papillon fame who she received mentorship from in the breed and eventually started co-breeding together under the Cadaga name. Being fully engaged and passionate for the sport Rachel began working full time for the McFaddens when she was 17. Wanting to learn as much as possible she worked for the Mcfaddens for a total of 7 years. Iberico
After working together for a few years at the McFaddens, Alberto and Rachel decided to go out on their own as professional handlers in March of 2018. Currently living on the Monterey Peninsula in Corral de Tierra, CA Alberto and Rachel travel to dog shows nearly every weekend and annually handle at Westminster Kennel Club, Royal Canin, and Montgomery County Kennel Club.
