I offer grocery shopping as an add on to my services. Provide me with a shopping list and a prepaid gift card for your store of choice and leave it to me. I will put all refrigerated items away and leave none perishables on the counter or predetermined location (in case you have a counter surfer like I do).

About the human behind A Ruff Life - me! A 'retired' stay-at-home mom seeking adventure between school drop-offs and pick-ups. My pet-sitting journey began in college, continued through Hawaii and Texas (thanks to my active-duty spouse), took a kid-induced break, and now I'm back in business. A little about the animals in my life.

I have always had a dog in my family- from the day I was born. My husband and I were newly married, stranded on an island (stranded... stationed some thing 😅) with an air mattress, paper plates and a dog. Our first dog we adopted together was Kimmi- a lab and German Short Hair Pointer that we adopted at a petsmart adoption event. She is now 12 and a massive bed hog.

My husband and I discussed it and decided we were going to wait to get our second dog once we left Hawaii. Moving pets off the island was pricey and time consuming. So that very night we did a VERY late mcdonalds run (to be young again when 2am chicken nuggets were still a good idea) and found Kindle. She was a tiny puppy that we found in the middle of a road that cut through the Dole pineapple fields. We brought her home and she instantly became boss. She is a Jack Russell something mix. Possibly daschund since she has chicken wing legs. All Jack Russell attitude.

Once we moved to El Paso, TX we adopted a dog named Jack. We fell in love after seeing a picture on the humane society website. Unfortunately a month after adopting Jack we learned that the kennel cough we had been treating was actually distemper. We had to let him cross the rainbow bridge way too early. It was a week to the day that I went to "the bank" with my neighbor. We never made it to the bank. We stumbled upon a dog laying in the dessert in 110 degree heat with her puppy. I instantly scooped them up and brought them home. We named the mom Lucy and her puppy Luna. Lucy is my soul dog and Luna is 9 and still called baby Luna.

These senior girls are the reason I only offer in your home sitting. They are in their retirement years and have no desire to share their spot in the sunshine or give up a single snuggle.

Hello! Welcome to A Ruff Life, where I provide in-your-home pet sitting services in Liberty Township, West Chester, and Monroe. I offer drop-in style sits for cats, dogs, caged pets, and fresh water aquariums. My services include feeding, spending time with, and refreshing bedding or litter for cats, caged pets, and fish for $15 per day. For dogs, I offer drop-in visits for $15 per visit and overnight care for $50 daily. This includes 4 daily visits. 2 visits last 30 minutes and 2 that last 15 minutes. House sitting services are included in extended sits, covering tasks like trash removal, mail collection, and vacuuming. Additional services I offer for additional fees include plant care, light house cleaning, garden weeding, and grocery delivery.
