Well my friends, it appears that due to personal reasons... DTWaP and I will be moving to Saguache county. Please make any of your friends or family members in the area aware. I will be tinkering with my page a little more to best accommodate my business needs. I hope your Holiday season finds you well, loved, and blessed.

Happy Holidays!

Starting the spread sheets everyone. I will be looking to take on starting with 5 new clients. If you are looking to return after my leave of absence I am still willing to take you on, even if all you need for your Canine is a brush up on manners. I will be opening again, February 1st, 2022.

Please feel free to message the page or myself directly. I will also be updating more information, adding things that the company may need in the future.

I am also taking suggestions as to what services folks may be interested in. A couple things I am looking to get into are...

1. Pet photography
2. Basic Groomings
3. Potential Dog sitting

This is just the start.

I hope everyone has a fantastic day!

11/20/2021

Ok, so here is just a thought. I have started experimenting with animal photography, and even had the pleasure (depending on how you look at it) of doing an end of life and momento Mori (photos taken after death). If this were to be a service I could offer, would anyone be interested in this?

09/11/2021

Also to come with the 2022 year, I am going to attempt to be able to take donations of pet foods you typically wouldn't be able to get. Such as specialty diet foods and treats. This way we can also be a place that people can come to get food for their pets, and not fear it being something they are allergic to.

I am also looking at starting up Pup Boxes. Inside of each box, there will be. A chew toy, a stuffy, and a rope toy, Collar and Leash, various treats and snacks, 3 soft blankets, a package of training pads, and a package of diapers, and I will look at what that is going to cost. And I will post that later, and may even start with a little deal. I will have boxes of different themes, so it isn't one size fits all. And if they are popular, they may continue to be an option.

If you would like to start discussing training schedule with me, I will be ready to start taking appointments in mid December. And to any potential returning clients, I look forward to seeing everyone very soon. Thank you so much, for being so patient with me. Covid, has kind of made all of our worlds turn upside down. You guys, are just absolutely the best.

Though I may be down for a while. These will be fun to start to doing again.

Hey everyone! I am looking at being ready to be open for business again, VERY SOON. Just need to finish tying off some loose ends first. Remington misses so many of your shining faces. and I know that he cannot wait to help teach your puppers the do's and don'ts of doghood. Please note, my prices will be changing soon, to accommodate cost of living, and the like. I promise to still remain the most affordable trainer in the Pueblo region.

More changes to come to this lovely business. Such as, the ability to travel out side of my original area of business (right now, I am unable to do so) but this is looking like a 2022-2023 goal for us. I am still learning some new ways to train your Canine Companion. As no two dogs are the same. I hope to be in full operation again by January, 2022. I look forward to seeing you all then.

Stay safe out there.

-Brina and Remmi

Hello, Everyone! It is my goal to have this business running again by January of 2022. What services/kind of trainings might other people be interested in? Lets chat, and see what ideas everyone has. Let this time be for suggestions. And by that time I hope to have updated prices (cost of living went up) and though this is more of a hobby. By then I should also be able to do a lot more with this business than I was. Thank you all, for being so patient. You are all amazing.

Due to health, I have had to take a step back with Dog Training with a Purpose. Found out recently that my back is still really messed up, and that being as gung ho as I was about getting this off the ground, I caused some further damage. I will keep everyone posted as to when I will be ready for new or returning clients. I can still answer any questions you may have, but at this time; I am unable to take on anything new.

03/19/2021

As this month starts to close, I would like to mention that it seems the easiest way for me to run this business, is just to keep the $120/month going. It is easiest for both me and the clientele. Everyone can remember that. If you feel that you may need more sessions in a month, I can adjust the price for that.

What does the $120/month include?

(8) 2 hour training sessions a month (individual or class)

24 hour emergency contact line for your dog(s)

Nail trimmings free of charge

Access to pet emergency resources

Individual Training Plan for your dog(s)

Only applies to Pueblo Residents.

Good morning everyone!

Is your puppy unruly? Does your older dog suddenly seem to not know how to walk on a leash? Or are you just having issues figuring out where to start training wise? Why not, sign up for one of my obedience classes?

Obedience training can help you and your doggy friend build a stronger bond, and also help your dog find the pecking order. I am aware that it seems so basic, and like I am preaching to the choir a bit. But even having your dog be able to walk right next to you (heel) helps tremendously!

So please, give me a call. 719-242-5567, for a free consultation, and an appointment setting.

I operate out of Pueblo, and I can come to you. Help me meet my client goal of 20 new clients in 2021. Lets build a stronger bond between you and your furry friend!

02/28/2021

Good morning Everyone, I hope the world is treating all of you well.

I am looking to take on 5-10 new clients as a trial to see how well group trainings would go. I am going to offer my group trainings at $120/month. Which will mean 2 sessions a week at 2 hours a piece.

Service dog Training starts March 1st at 9 am-11 am, at the park across from Bessemer Academy on Spruce and Mesa.

Obedience training starts March 1st at 2 pm-4 pm, at the grassy area behind the baseball diamonds at City park.

I ask that you wear a mask if the class size is more than 6 people, and that you have your own animal waste bags.

We will also clean up after each class. No one likes dog waste all over.

Please feel free to contact me at 719-242-5567. You can either text or call me at that number. Also you can shoot me an email at [email protected]. I typically respond to text messages immediately, and emails get checked once a day.

Common misconception...

"If you have a Service animal, then you can't have other pets".

Actually, I hear this more often than not. You actually CAN have other pets... Are your pets going to occasionally distract your medical equipment? Yes. Are there going to be times that your pets task? Yes. Is this normal? Yes!

As a matter of fact... Most Service Animal handlers have other pets. 0ther dogs as well... This is actually a good thing.

New clients only... Starting the 15th of February and running through March 1st. Buy 3 sessions get one free.

I would also like to take a moment to introduce some of my Facebook helpers.

Shawna Hadden (admin), fellow SD handler, and many many years of experience in this field. And is abundantly helpful with resources and information.

Tumara Steinbach (admin), My mother. She is also fairly new to the service dog routines, but has taken everything in stride... Including the day I brought home Remington.

Natasha Steinbach (advertising), my sister. Though not a service dog handler, is well aware of the training process, and struggles that go into having an SDiT or even a veteran SD. She can lead you in the right direction to where you need to go.

If you are interested in being a part of DTwaP. I have openings for moderators and advertisers. Please shoot me a message here, and I will get ahold of you ASAP.

Have a wonderful day, and thank you for visiting Dog Training with a Purpose. :)

Welcome to a new year. I have decided to run the special a while longer. Get yourself in before February 15th, and get (8) 2 hour training sessions per month. At the low cost of $120/month for the entirety of the type of training. Your price will NOT change for the entire time.

Come back next month for a new special, if you feel that you are unable to do this one.

Remember your initial meet up is entirely free. And I can come to you. To start this year as well when I get the clientele required, I will start group trainings.

Those will likely remain at the low price of $120/month. Class sizes will be no more than 10 per session.

I hope everyone is having a safe, loving, and joyous Christmas. I just found this information and hope that some of you find it helpful. But here is a few reasons why I do not praise harnesses. I also refuse to use one on my dog (unless it is to clip him to his seat belt) but here are a few reasons why I highly discourage front clip harnesses.

Merry christmas to each and everyone of you. Stay safe.

It's snowing outside. Thanksgiving is in 2 days... Let's think about what we are thankful for this year. Rather than the chaos that 2020 has brought us. And think about the potential that 2021 has to offer. So, with that... What would you like to see out of 2021? It doesn't even have to be dog or get related at all. What would you like the outcome to be?

11/14/2020

So this week has been a little chaotic, but I still got some training time in. I hope this Friday the 13th levels out a little bit.

I am well aware that it is after hours. But I just wanna give my boy, Remington, a HUGE shout out right now. He is doing so good, with what we've been given. Hes learned that he can't be anxious, just because I'm not there. He's learning... That though I have lots of health problems... I just need a break sometimes, and lay around to do absolutely nothing. And it seems that he's adjusting well. A big appointment is coming up soon, and he may be out of commission for a couple weeks afterwards, but anything to make sure he is happy and healthy.

Though, he is laying in the kitchen... He was patiently awaiting his afternoon walk.
