Let's Love Chinchillas & More Cali_FID Rescue is located in Modesto, CA but WE are moving. Everything is by appointment. I'm passionate about chinchilla care & rescue.

My page is a blog about pets, welfare, rehab & rehoming chinchillas in need. Follow for tips, stories & adoptables. We are not a rescue on our own but do operate under a local rescue. We're fosters for the rescue, as well as the rescue's adoption and foster home coordinators. We do our best to aid the Chinchillas that are moved through they system. We are simply Chinchilla enthusists ( and other animals ) who want to share about animals and help out owners.

I just needed some content to post and an excuse to show you guys Harper again.

There are a lot of things that *I* do that I wouldn't suggest that *you* do.

This wasn't the thing I'd expect to be so controversial but hey it's a wild Sunday evening.

Context : someone was mad I was holding Bramble in a parked car with the dogs tethered in the back. We were waiting for our vet apt. Everyone was secured.

But apparently holding the animal still means it's loose. Clearly.

Wait till they see my other videos.

It is not easy to handle medically fragile animals.
It often doesn't end well.
But it is always worth trying.

Who remembers Woody? The flea market chinchilla with such a mangled leg he immediate surgery that resulted in a full amputation, and later developed infection.

Woody has long since been healed and adopted out to a home who loves him, but he's one of many fragile animals we've been lucky enough to save.
