National Pet Day is an excellent time to do a few checks for your pets!
- Go through your fur-ever family member's toys. Throw away any items that are no longer safe.

- Maintain your pet-friendly home. Keep cords and toxins secure from your four-legged friends. This includes phone chargers.

- Verify when vaccinations are due and schedule an appointment to update if they are.

- Check collars to ensure tags are secure and numbers are current. We sometimes forget to update this information when we move or change numbers.

April is Heartworm Awareness Month.
Did you know heartworm disease is caused by a mosquito bite?

Missing just one dose of heartworm prevention can lead to a pet getting infected.

Clinical signs become apparent AFTER the heartworms start living in the dog’s lungs and heart. We follow the American Heartworm Society’s recommendation of testing once a year and using heartworm prevention all year long. Did you know about our "Through the years program"?
Our Through the Years program gives you guidelines that take you through the life of your pet. We start with the first year of life and go over vaccinations, deworming, alterations, grooming, and enrichment through daycare.
Do you have an adult cat or dog?
In our Through the Years program it explains the importance of dental cleanings, annual wellness, grooming, and enrichment through daycare.
Last, but most certainly not least, in the "Golden Years" of your pet, we highlight the importance of our Mature Health package, annual dental cleanings, grooming, and enrichment through daycare. Each time you bring your pet in for a health check, we will give you a report card stating our Doctor's findings and other recommendations. There is NO ADDITIONAL COST, just information on how we will do our best to keep your pets happy and healthy as possible!
