All Woolyfelt Creations are crafted by artist Jessie McDaid out of wool, felt, and all sorts of other fibers by "sculpting" the pieces using a technique called Needle Felting. No patterns are used, so each piece is truly OOAK

About the artist:
Born and raised in Denver, CO, I relocated to Eastern PA with my mother in 2002. After several years (one of which was spent trudging through as an uninsp

ired college Freshman), I followed my dreams (and a man) to Western Montana, a place I am privileged and proud to call home. Like many artists, I can't remember a time when I wasn't creating something, whether it was paper snowflakes, stepping stones, or mud sculptures of the family dog. My passion for wool and all things felted didn't truly kick in until October of 2010, when I realized I was suffocating in a dead-end job at a little motel. Fifteen dollars and fifty-four cents after that, I was on my way to creating a business and fulfilling a life-long dream. Now living amidst the majestic mountains and the fun, laid-back atmosphere of Missoula, the cheerful people and clean, cool air, I can't get a break from all the sources of inspiration. I try to incorporate my love for all things fantastical, eccentric, and natural into each and every piece I make. I sincerely hope that each piece conveys the same sense of fulfillment, ease, and joy to you, whoever you are, that creating them brings to me.
