I have received a handful of calls lately for yellow jacket and honeybee removal. There has been some confusion thinking my services are free. The only free service I offer is swarm removal. Honeybees tend to build their colonies in larger hollow trees which are more susceptible to toppling over in storms. Remember to use caution inspecting damaged trees and contact Bee & Bee to remove and relocate the colony!!

A good example of a Bald Faced Hornet nest. One of your more “defensive” species of yellow jacket in our area.These boogers prefers to make their nests 20-30 feet in a tree but unfortunately not uncommon for them to make their home in the gable end of your house or under an over hang. Swarm season is just around the corner!!!! In the spring time, over wintered colonies sometimes become overcrowded in their colony space whether that be a hollow tree or your wall cavity. The original queen will take about half of the colony and go find a new home. Honey bee swarms are generally unaggressive. As always use caution around any stinging insect. Swarm collection is Free of charge!!! I’ll box the bees up and put them in my apiary where they can continue to pollinate our world.
