I’ve been a veterinarian for 17 years.
The sentence I hear most often: “We just thought it was her age.”

There’s a big difference between a dog aging well and a dog quietly managing pain. Most owners were never taught to tell them apart.

That’s why I’m here.
Follow along — I’ll show you what to look for.

Carrying them everywhere. Skipping walks. Letting them rest all day.

It looks like love — and it is. Muscle loss accelerates with inactivity, and muscle is what protects joints.

The goal isn’t less movement. It’s the right movement.

10 minutes. Slow walk. Every day. Start there.

Nobody sends you a card for this kind of mom.
But you are one.

The 2am researching. The vet appointments you rearrange your whole day for. The way you notice every small change and wonder if it means something.

That kind of love deserves to be named today.
Happy Mother’s Day to every pet mom out there. 💛

Biggest myth I hear: slowing down = aging.

Often, it’s pain.

And the earlier you catch it, the more you can help.

It’s just aging…or is it?

Many of the changes we brush off
are actually signs of pain.

I see this every week.

There’s often more we can do 🤍

Follow if you’ve ever wondered if you’re missing something.

I stepped away for a bit after losing my dog.

That time reminded me why this work matters—supporting pets as they age and helping you recognize when something isn’t right.

I’m glad to be back!
If you have a senior dog, you’re in the right place.

Yesterday I treated this sweet senior boy with acupuncture.
And today, his family is already seeing the difference.
he’s walking better, standing taller, and showing more interest in food.

As a veterinarian, I love acupuncture because it works with the body by supporting nerves, circulation, and natural pain control in aging dogs.

It won’t stop time, but it can make this stage of life more comfortable and healthy aging is the goal.

If your senior dog is stiff, slowing down, or not eating like they used to,
this may be one gentle option to explore. 🤍

Saying goodbye is never easy — it can be more peaceful at home for our pets and us.

If you’re considering home euthanasia for your senior pet, I will gently walk you through what to expect — step by step.

A calm setting.
Familiar surroundings.
Time to hold them, love them, and say goodbye your way.
I am happy to answer questions about the process 💛
