This Saturday, March 6th, 10A CST join us for a virtual wellness workshop that’s reminiscent of past in-person events we called Total Wellness Breakfasts 🥝⁣

While we miss gathering in person — we’d eat healthy, sample wellness products, and nourish our minds with ways to create healthy lifestyles — this Saturday’s virtual event is going to mirror that same excitement with some amazing speakers!⁣

Speakers include Yvette Zona, integrative nutrition health coach; Heidi Limpert, exercise science; and other rockstars in wellness Trixie Overcashier, Caragh O’Brien, Nicole Remini-Wiskow, and Julie Peters.⁣

Set aside 10-11:30A to log in, listen and learn! Bring your own healthy breakfast and beverage of choice. DM us for the link and any questions!⁣

Did you all catch this article on disinfectants? While it's encouraging to see more mainstream news writing about the harmful effects of these cleaners, the message needs to be stronger. Quats and harsh chemicals are destructive to all of us and are not needed. Sol-U-Guard with citric acid and thymol is EPA approved, safe and effective against the virus when used as directed. When we know better, we can choose better!

Excerpt: Disinfectant cleaners are flying off the shelves during the pandemic as consumers look to fight off the coronavirus, but there are risks associated with frequent use of these cleaning products.https://www.ibtimes.com/disinfectants-can-kill-coronavirus-are-they-harmful-your-health-3091554

“A lot of people are going on overkill and trying to disinfect everything,” Dingsheng Li, an environmental health professor at the University of Nevada-Reno, said.

“The most effective form of learning is practice, not planning,” — Atomic Habits, Chapter 11: The 3rd Law: Make it Easy⁣

As a community of like-minded individuals when it comes to wellness, our Empowering All Wellness team is meeting via Zoom weekly and making our way through James Clear’s Atomic Habits. It’s a wonderful way to read and process on our own and come together as a group to see what sticks!⁣

If you’re and planner and more rooted toward perfectionism (proving something obsessively before trying), progress can be stopped in its tracks. Be wary of the distinction between motion and action. Motion makes us feel like we’re making progress without running the risk of failure. Action is the type of behavior that will deliver an outcome. ⁣

So while it’s important to plan and create motion, it’s more important to keep practicing and taking action. This absolutely means you’re not going to get things 100% right, but over time your continued practice will lead to more and quality R E S U L T S!⁣

Here’s to practice not perfect, letting go of fear of failure, and learning together in a supportive way. 👏🙏🏽⁣ — team Amanda Kelly Amber Barrios Missy 'Gaulke' Wilson Jennifer Gilhoi

Is it safe to travel now?⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Empowering All Wellness Co-founder and Founder of Live Well Travel, Amanda Kelly, recently returned from Mexico and is sharing her tips and perspective on travel in today’s blog: Tips for Safe, Smart Travel During Covid:
http://empoweringallwellness.com/tips-for-safe-smart-travel-during-covid/
⁣⁣
Safe travel depends on a number of things. With states and countries beginning the process of reopening, it’s natural for people to still feel a bit apprehensive about travel.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Individuals can do their part by being careful, sensible, practicing physical distancing, and abiding by the rules.⁣ Each travel scenario is different so working with a travel agent in assessing the risk is critical!⁣
⁣⁣
Whether you decide to get out of the country as soon as possible or you’re still not sure if it’s a good idea, Amanda’s post will help you evaluate where you stand, and when and if you’re ready, start planning travel amidst uncertainty.⁣

How’s your mask game?⁣

We’re in the wearing of them for the long haul here! We just stocked up on some new ones, so design-wise we’re on point.⁣

Next up: freshening up masks with essential oils!⁣

Essential oil infusion works best on cloth masks.⁣

Step 1: Wash your hands before touching your mask.⁣

Step 2: Dilute your essential oil.⁣
This is necessary before applying pure essential oils anywhere that may have direct contact with your skin, like your face mask. They can cause irritation if applied directly to your skin.⁣

Before applying to your mask or topically, we recommend diluting 2 drops of your favorite essential oil in 1 tsp (5 mL) coconut or almond carrier oil, or olive oil or argan oil.⁣

TIP: Dilute in a clean spray bottle for easy application. If you don’t have a spray bottle any small clean glass or plastic bottle or container will do. ⁣

Step 3: Apply the diluted essential oil mix to your face mask covering. If you used a spray bottle, we recommend giving your mask one or two light sprays. For a less intense aroma, try spraying the outside of your mask (the side not touching your skin).⁣

Step 4: Just breathe 🙏🏽 You just made wearing your face mask a little more pleasant by utilizing the natural qualities of plants!⁣

Stay tuned for more on types of essential oils to use — we love lemon 🍋 for a citrusy pick-me-up, armor for immunity boost, and lavender for relaxation and calm, for starters — all shown in here in our favorite line ; ) ⁣

It’s all about healthy swaps!⁣

We love waffles, but your standard carb-heavy waffle with sugary syrup leaves one feeling drained of energy.⁣

The one we’re enjoying today is made with GC Control in Fresh Apple & Cinnamon. Super simple recipe: 1 scoop of GC control, 1 egg and 2 tablespoons of almond milk — whisk and waffle up!⁣

Take back control!⁣

2020 is a year of change and uncertainty in profound ways. Giving yourself grace, focusing on what we can control, and building resilience have never been more important.⁣

Read up on the blog: Resilience Aplenty in 2020: http://bit.ly/EAResilienceAplenty, where we talk about the various phases we’ve moved through over the past five months of quarantine and how to set ourselves up successfully for the rest of the year and beyond. Oh so many lessons you hold, 2020, if we are open to them.⁣

When it comes to control, we’re addressing our physical, mental and spiritual health. One product we highlight is . By including GC Control daily in our nutrition, we’re tackling the additional lbs we’ve added over quarantine ( or as we call it). If you’ve experienced any version of this weight gain, please know you’re not alone! ⁣

Our Empowering All Wellness community is ready to support you with mindset shifts, effective products, reliable research, programs like R3 (Reset, Reintroduce, Real Life), and tools to help you do all the things daily. Let’s create R E S I L I E N C E together!⁣

Women have been taught to stay small. It’s time to rise up.⁣

I’ve heard this of this smallness, silencing. I’ve witnessed it as my own truths and stories have come to the surface over years of consistent work to alter my inner dialogue and know from my soul that I am enough. All the undoing of how women have structurally, institutionally and socially been conditioned into conforming, fitting in, and smallness is exhausting. ⁣

Here I thought it was my introversion, my sometimes smallness, was my doing. ⁣

What I love about being a continuous learner is that inevitably a knowing type of truth will get through to me at a deep level when I hear it from multiple sources. It’s like the universe has said: it is time to pay attention. That happened this week thanks to a convergence of Glennon Doyle and an ah-ha around minute 18 of Amy Zaroff’s 7.31 Insta live chat with Twila Dang.
Thank you strong women! — Jen Gilhoi

Our new norm over the past four months has evolved to pumping hand sanitizers frequently, slipping our masks on and off as we go about our day, sanitizing surfaces, and stepping into public spaces with new processes, procedures and levels of protection. The mantra is: we will combat this virus!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
On the blog: Safely Sanitize, No Toxins Needed: https://bit.ly/EASafelySanitize, we review the widespread use of bleach and sanitizers like Lysol and Clorox, and some hand sanitizers that are fatally toxic.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We as a society are definitely disinfecting more. But at what cost?⁣⁣

Coming up Tuesday, June 23rd 5-6:15P:⁣

A chance to unmask your healthiest skin ever: We are excited to share Sei Bella’s new skincare line virtually during our 6.23 Own Your Beauty event!⁣ RSVP required to receive Zoom link to join : )

Guest speaker Heidi Lundervold Limpert will be joining us and along with the Empowering All wellness team — weighing in on each of the four lines and our personal experience using them over the past month. ⁣

Routines have certainly been disrupted over the last few months. We’re using it as an opportunity in wellness to re-look routines — good and bad — and make space to begin new, healthier routines. Skin care is a great place to start! ⁣

Differing medical advice everywhere you turn in the effectiveness of these, but to me doing something and being prepared gives me peace of mind. Also anything crafty right now is giving me sense of purpose along with a mental escape.

Even better was when I discovered I should be spraying these with ! — thyme-based EPA-approved disinfectant.

What’s in your preventative health arsenal?⁣

Tune in this evening Mon, Mar 16 7PCST and additional times in March via zoom (a free online platform) to see how we practice preventative health. We’ve found that it’s reassuring right now to come together as a community to hear each other and create resiliency and a plan of action.⁣

Hello everyone! I could cut and paste from one of the many event cancelation communications I'm discovering online and in my inbox over the past few days. I'm sure you can all relate!

In the interest of preventative health, we are moving this event to a VIRTUAL, online event. Login from the comfort of home and listen in. Amber, Missy and Jen will cover everything as planned through our Zoom channel. We share a lot this way and LOVE it!

If you're thinking you want to communicate more from home during these times of social distancing, yet be able to see friends, family, co-workers --- which will be needed! -- Zoom is a free and great way to do that. Go to zoom.us and download the software. Up to 10 minutes prior to the meeting use this code: 2588413309, login and wait for the meeting to get started! Reach out and ask us any questions beforehand if you're unsure.

Please RSVP below if you'll be joining us via zoom. We'll get started at 1:00P CST Sunday, March 15th!

Best, Amanda, Amber, Missy and Jen

Cheers to a Sunday afternoon of self-care to set us all up for a holiday season of good decisions!

Grateful to have a community of women to connect with -- we shared self-care tips and it was interesting, but not surprising, that most of us are working on learning to say no (or at least not right now) to ensure we have time for self-care.

A good reminder as we set in for the holiday season that it's okay to break tradition (Carrie!), ask for what we need and acknowledge our feelings amidst the stressors!

We also shared self-care lifestyle practices and products -- all just part of the journey. Thank you to all that attended this event hosted ModernWell! Share your self-care focus and report back in over the season and tag us in your pics with your "Where's Your " mugs if you like, ladies! -- with Amanda Kelly Missy 'Gaulke' Wilson Jennifer Gilhoi
