Whenever pitchers struck out 9 or more batters in a game, fans received 25% off their purchase at Petco the following day. At the same time, donated $500 to local animal welfare efforts.

By the end of the season, those moments added up to $40,000 donated, with $20,000 each going to and .

Because of this partnership, pets in need will find homes, and veterans and families will receive the support of service animals.
