How does time go by so fast? 😭 It was just yesterday my stud c**t was a little 9-month-old baby, all legs and fluff. Now he’s a yearling and looking like such a handsome young man 😍 Watching him grow and fill out has been such a blessing. I’m so proud of how far he’s come already! 💪🐎

Theo’s First Real Training Session At the Farm 🐴✨

Today was a big day for Theo — our very first real training session since he arrived at the farm, and he did so good! He did have 30 days ground work before we bought him but sat for a little while. This is his first time getting back into the swing of things ❤️

This boy stepped into the round pen ready to learn. He’s smart and willing. It’s amazing to watch his mind work and see the beginning of that partnership forming.

Week Three with Theo and WOW—what a difference! 🖤
This boy has blossomed in just three weeks. His coat is shining, his eyes are brighter, and he’s settling into life here. He’s gained confidence, started filling out, and truly enjoys his work.

It’s amazing what consistency, and a little faith can do. Keep watching—Theo’s just getting started! 🙌🐴🌿

Now that he’s out of the round pen, he’s loving the extra space—and he’s not the only one! He and Jack are having a blast running around together.

Theo’s Two-Week Update! 🐴💛

While Theo still has a bit more weight to gain, we’re already seeing some great progress in just two weeks! The first two photos are from the day he arrived, and the second two were taken today — exactly 14 days later.

It’s been a joy watching him settle in. He’s now turned out with my stud c**t, and let me tell you… watching the two of them at feeding time is something else. 🤦‍♀️🤣 Both are at the bottom of the pecking order, so they’re still a little unsure of each other. If one jumps back thinking he’s about to get chased off food, the other jumps too. It’s like a little synchronized spook session at the hay pile!

Excited to keep sharing this sweet boy’s journey with y’all. God’s got big plans for him. 💫🐎

🌾 What a Difference 1 Week Makes! 🌾

The first photo was Day 1 for Theo here at The Faith-Filled Farm. The second photo is just one week later—after being wormed, getting alfalfa flakes, and getting his daily grain of Tucker Mill’s Exceed 14. Shout out to Jennifer Oliver at the Oliver's nursery and feed store, they got the best Alfalfa and this guy is loving every bit of it!

He’s still got a road ahead of him, but already we’re seeing big changes—his ribs are less prominent, that sucked-in look is fading, and he’s shining up beautifully after his very first bath here. ✨

We’ve been keeping things light with short lunging sessions to help him build muscle without overdoing it. If he continues progressing like this, we’ll reassess in about three more weeks to see if he’s ready for a little more work.

I'm so excited to see how this guy turns out in a few more months! 💛

🌟 Theo’s First Farrier Visit With Us! 🌟

Big day for Theo today! 🐴 His previous owner mentioned he had his first trim a little while ago, but he had to be sedated and they were only able to get his front feet done. So I wasn’t sure how this was going to go…

Yesterday, I worked with him on picking up his feet for the very first time since arriving here with us and only made it through one side. This afternoon, before our farrier arrived, I spent a little time with Theo and for the first time ever he let me pick up all four feet and clean them out! I was already proud of him for that.

When our farrier got here, I told him I wasn’t confident Theo would stand for a full trim—especially since just yesterday he tried to kick at me when I asked for his back feet. But I picked them up again to show the farrier how he is with his feet, and Theo stood nicely for me. Then it was the farrier’s turn.

Theo pulled back once, then stood like a rock the rest of the time. No sedation. No nonsense. All four feet trimmed like a gentleman. 🙌

I’m beyond impressed with how quickly this boy is turning around. He got lots of praise and treats after being such a good boy. 💙
