This is me today as I speak to Janesville Lions at 7 am, Edgerton Rotary at noon, a podcast with Hoyt Rose at 6, Milton Community Days on Friday, Goat Yoga & Ranch Hands on Sunday, and next week I am on WCLO radio and interviewed by Janesville Buzz! The new sign went up today! Next is the fence and the landscaping! Can't wait to have a beautiful entry to the ranch! Thank you Timber Hill Winery for the old horse stall door to be our sign, Burke Steel for the metal work and JB Construction for the install! Thanks also to helpers Alek Stranberg and Kolbie!

Chewie says "Hmmm what's this in my pasture?". Its a French drain system - 6 holes dug with a 24" auger, screened and filled with rocks to take the water out of the lowest part of the pasture. This will help us not have a lake in the summer and a skating rink in the winter! Thank you to the handy crew - you know who you are!

SPACE IS LIMITED for this FREE EVENT!!

We are excited to announce our 2nd Annual 🐴📚READING at the RANCH 📚🐴event!

What better way to encourage your child to enjoy reading than by having them read to a horse, goat, and/or therapy dog? Watch their imagination, confidence, and motivation soar!

This FREE 60-minute experience is open to all current lesson students and children from our neighboring communities, ages 5 and older.

Our volunteers will help your child acclimate to the environment, introduce them to the horse/begin reading, and then engage in horse-related activities after reading. Additionally, they will interact with the goats and the therapy dog.

We ask that a parent/guardian stay on the property during the 60-minute session. All participants and their adult(s) must wear closed-toe shoes. BYO book or grab one from our barn library.

The heat didn't beat us! We worked with it! Tonight's therapeutic lesson was "Caring for our horse in the heat." We talked about respiration rate, sweating, shade, body language, hydration & feed. Then we hosed off our horses & braided manes to help our horse partners keep cool! This all teaches care & empathy, reading non verbal language, problem solving, attentiveness, sequencing, being prepared and of course new skills, all while having fun and improving the relationship between horse and student!

GOAT YOGA was a blast today! Thank you Just Bee Wellness & Yoga! The goats and babies had a great time too! Babies on backs and chewing on your hair lol! Ended with feeding time
and a woods walk! Thanks for all the participants and volunteers!
