Chessie has been SLOWLY re-entering work and doing so well. We are very excited to continue to support her as she returns back to being ridden after her long lay up.

Hard launch 🤩 Chessie has joined the chat and we are just a little excited. ♟️

After 10 months of careful rehabbing, we are entering the next phase of her rehab by introducing trotting under saddle to build strength.

This is Day 2 and we are already impressed with this gorgeous ladies movement and attitude!

Born in Saratoga Springs, raised in barns, Cherie DeVaux opened her own stable in 2018.
On May 2, 2026, at Churchill Downs, she made history🐎
With Golden Tempo 13th at the top of the stretch, she won the 152nd Kentucky Derby at 23-1.
The first woman ever to train a Kentucky Derby winner.
Barely able to find words after the race, she said:
"I don't even have any words right now. Just so, so happy for Golden Tempo. Jose did a masterful job of getting him there. He was so far out of it."
Then, to every woman watching:
"I'm glad I can be a representative of all women everywhere — we can do anything we set our minds to."

As we continue through our second year as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, this milestone means so much to us. The Platinum level is the highest recognition for transparency, and it reflects our commitment to sharing our goals, strategies, and real impact with all of you who support our mission.

From day one, we’ve believed that trust and accountability matter just as much as the work we do for our horses. This achievement shows that we’re not only growing but doing it the right way.
