In the last week I have received many questions about how we do nail trims. My preference is to clip the end and then file the rest of the way up to the quick. In doing this, it lessens the chance of clipping the quick and causing the nail to bleed. It also helps the nails to be smoother so if your pet jumps up on you or you are holding them, they don't scratch you.
