Supporting your local equine businesses is important to keeping the horse industry alive.
So many times — especially recently — you’ll see tack shops, farriers, vets, fitters, equine cleaning businesses, and more shutting their doors. Most of the time it’s due to retirement, lack of money, and lack of support.
These business owners are not corporations. They are real humans behind the wall or screen. They’re just like you, walking amongst you, except they take on a different responsibility.
How do we support and keep trusted local equine businesses?
Shop there.
Recommend folks.
Write kind reviews.
Go to their events.
Many of us put a TON of time, care, and effort into developing a better community. Making B2B connections is more important than having competitors. We partner, sponsor, and support a LOT of barns, tack shops, and other equine services, and they do the same for us.
If you want to keep your local equine businesses, go support them in any way you can!
