We’re choosing to stay home for now, focusing on our family and praying that God brings healing to our land. “If my people… will humble themselves and pray… I will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).

We won’t be traveling to deliver animals until things settle down, but we’re still here if you’d like to inquire or pick up one. Please keep our country in prayer.

I’m not sure how everyone feels right now, but my heart is heavy for our country. It’s heartbreaking to see so much destruction in the name of protest. God is not the author of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33), and what we’re seeing right now doesn’t bring healing—it brings hurt.

When violence breaks out, it affects everyday families who are just trying to live, work, and care for their children. Many can’t travel safely or get to work, and it’s causing real struggles for folks across the country.

I truly believe if someone wants to be part of this nation, there’s a right and lawful way to go about it. “Obey the laws of the land” (Romans 13:1) is what the Bible tells us, and I pray that more hearts would be moved to do things the right way.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting deeply on how hard it can be to go through struggles in today’s world. It seems that showing weakness often invites judgment instead of compassion. Asking for help doesn’t always lead to kindness — in fact, many people turn away or look down on you. But thank God for the few who still carry the heart of Christ — the ones who step up, who lift you up, and remind you that you’re not alone.

It saddens me to see how far we’ve drifted from the way things used to be — when neighbors were like family, when communities stood together, and when you could count on your mama, your sister, or a friend down the road to be there without hesitation. These days, it feels like more and more people are caught up in themselves, and less concerned with bearing one another’s burdens.

But that’s not the way the Bible teaches us to live. Scripture says,
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” – Galatians 6:2
And again,
“Do to others as you would have them do to you.” – Luke 6:31

That’s the standard me and my husband have always tried to live by — not by the ways of the world, but by the Word of God. Even when it’s hard. Even when others don’t return the kindness. We still choose to love, to help, and to stand in truth — because that’s what Christ did for us.
