We have a male pup available from our Nova and Kona. They will be ready to go home Dec 28th. The sire Lord Du Bois Courcol is my best wild bird hunting dog ever. Even at 10 years old in South Dakota this year he had numerous beautiful points. Until he was eight years old he would literally point 70% of the wild birds on every hunt. Even hunting with lots of other types of Bird Dogs. Nova has pointed as many as seven Woodcock in a row with five other good bird dogs down. I shot my only Appalachia red phase bronze banded, Ruff Grouse over her. Please visit our website VA French Brittany for pictures of the parents.

The Phantom Quail Kennel has been almost a year in the making. I bought the plans from Gun Dog USA for $40 but lost the DVD, that it comes with. Now that I know how to build it it would not take very long to build another one. Big thanks to my father-in-law Robert Osborne who helped tremendously in building the structure. It finally got moved from the garage out into the field today with the help of Baxter Phillips.  Next step is painting it and it will be ready to go with birds hopefully later this week. Hog fencing around it to keep the dogs away from the pen learned from Martha Greenlee. Gun Dog Supply

Beautiful day in the woods, the woodcock were not in their usual haunts as they had thick layers of snow. Did a lot of walking today to put up six woodcock and harvest two. Theta had a gorgeous point with Diesel back that Bill and I both shot on the flush. Otto pointed the other bird. Woodcock were nervous today with all the noise we made through the woods. Diesel with a couple points that the birds flushed as we were walking in. Bill Heindl on the right will be 84 years old next month. I want to be able to walk like him at that age.
