From overheating and sunburn to dehydration and heatstroke, extreme temperatures can be life-threatening for both dogs and cats.

This quick guide shares simple steps to help keep your dog safe in the summer heat. While it's especially important for brachycephalic breeds, dogs with dark coats, and those with underlying health conditions, high temperatures pose a risk to all dogs.

The safest place for your pet during extreme heat is indoors, ideally with air conditioning.

We have puppies on the way!

**Maggy & Norman: Pups are due on April 8th, 2025! Maggy is a sweet 32 lb. F1 girl and Norman is an eager-to-please 52 lb. F1b boy. Both parents are non-shedding and pups should mature to around 40-45 lbs. Pups will be ready for their forever homes on May 31st. She has 3 on her list.

**Hazel & Fitz: Pups are due May 1st, 2025! Hazel is a gorgeous & very loving 35 lb. multi-gen Goldendoodle and Fitz is a sweet little 25 lb. F1b boy. Both parents are non-shedding and pups should mature to around 30 lbs. Pups will be ready for their forever homes on June 28th. She has 2 on her list.

**Quinn & Brody: Pups are due on May 2nd, 2025! Miss Quinn is a super gentle & curly multi-gen girl (30 lbs) and Brody is a happy-go-lucky F1b boy (20 lbs). Both parents are non-shedding and pups should mature to around 25 lbs. (this is an ideal litter for high allergies). Pups will go home around June 28th. She has 4 on her list.
