Day 4 update: the puppies have discovered ✨energy✨.
Bath #3 confirms they do not enjoy self-care.
Since starting dewormer treatment, they’re perking up fast. This was the heaviest parasite load we’ve seen, one pup arrived exhausted and severely anemic.
Today he’s alert, curious, and side-eyeing the bath towel...
Care like this takes time, meds, and a lot of laundry — and it’s made possible by the people cheering us on from afar.

Marshmallow Quartet, Found and Floofy 🧻☁️

Black Sheep Asylum took in four fluffy white puppies found on the side of a rural road. Their mother was briefly seen nearby and appeared feral, fleeing before help could reach her. We’re still keeping an eye out in hopes of helping her as well.
The puppies - Charmin, Ply, Rollie, and Cottonelle (name placeholders for now) are safe, clean, and have started deworming treatment.

So we got this big boys bloodwork back from the vet today and he does in fact have Cushings.

His medicine is not the cheapest.

Neither is his new senior feed...

Oof

For a just over a dollar a day, you can sponsor drugs for a mini-Donkey...

Sooo, found another dead hen in gen-pop pasture today. This one headless.

So something is getting in and going on a spree and the girl donkeys are not doing their ONE job.

So... I thought the girls were not in heat and it would be safe to let the boys (who DO do their job of protecting) in with the girls and goats...

Judging by the show DonQuiote is giving Eeyore, I may have made a grave mistake.

Eeyore is both frightened and confused by her antics. I'm not gonna tell him what I think she means by it and silently mark my calendar as the date to potentially count from. 😬
