Long time no see!

I'm still temporarily closed but just wanted to announce that I will be changing the name of my business in the upcoming weeks. I don't feel this has really stuck or had the meaning that I had thought it had behind it.

However, new name doesn't mean a different "anything else." Just a name change. Still me, still my work ethic, still my work and still what I grow. And still something I 100% love doing.

However, I have no actual time frame on when I will be open again. I'm hoping for best case scenario, this upcoming fall. Worst case scenario, some time next year.

I'm still accepting requests for what you want to see grown and on your table and putting it on a spreadsheet for when I do return and reopen.

My goals have never changed. Only my circumstances.

Hurry hurry hurry up. Get where you need to be on time so you can sit around and wait wait wait. If you're not on time, better call dispatch to get a reschedule just for being 1 minute late. Don't forget, we don't have bathrooms for you to use either. Enjoy your stay....

I once had a dream. To be able to provide local homegrown organic produce to stores, restaurants and straight to your table at home. It was a dream and a goal that I chased after for a long time. But for now that's all it's ever going to get to be. A dream. This is my last harvest for this year and the foreseeable future.

I'll be returning back to the road after today. In isolation, behind a windshield in a metal box that weighs upwards of 80,000 pounds. All while being disrespeced, and treated like dirt. Everyone is greatful for a truck driver until they see one on the road.

I'll be away from my family and away from what could have been had I had more support from the community that I wanted to do something for.

This isn't a permanent end to my dreams or goals. Just another stop in life that makes me have to wait to go after it again.

I want to share a difficult but honest update. One that has been bringing me to tears over the last few months and have been trying to fight against the reality of.

By March, I’ll be closing down my garden and returning to truck driving. This wasn’t an easy decision. I put everything I had into starting this. Time, money, sweat, and more late nights than I can count. Because growing food and doing it right genuinely mattered to me. It made me happy and I looked forward to it every day.

Given my current constraints, it’s no longer financially sustainable to keep the garden going the way it needs to be done. So for now, stability has to come first.

This isn’t the end of my dream. Just a pause. I’ll be back when the timing and circumstances make sense again.

I want to give a huge thanks to Kroegel Homestead Produce and the wonderful people that work there for being my biggest supporter in my start up.

Thank you to everyone who supported me, bought produce, shared encouragement, or believed in what I was trying to build. It meant more than you will ever know.

🚨Good news bad news time. Good news for now. Bad news coming much later. Good news first though. Fresh radishes grown right here locally to you. Just harvested and about to be bunched up. Ready to be eaten whole, in a salad or anything else you want to put them in. Great taste with a mild kick to them.

The bad news... well I'm going to save that for a later post on its own at a later time.

Just dropped off some rover radishes yesterday at Kroegel Homestead Produce. Make sure to pick some up on your next visit. They taste phenomenal as always. 😋

I'm very glad to announce that the garden is back up and operational once again. Although I currently don't have anything growing, I did seed some vegetables today. Starting with carrots and the radishes that everyone loves. More to come as soon as the seed I need is no longer on back order. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving! 🦃

Progress has been going a lot slower than anticipated. I've been dealing with a ton of stress related illnesses and then dealing with a kidney stone on top of it. I have been slowly recovering and working while I can to begin production again. See you guys soon!

Just to clarify from my last post—I’m not going anywhere, and I’m definitely not quitting what I love doing! I’m just taking a short pause while I relocate and reestablish my soil. Once that’s done, I’ll be ramping up production as fast as possible. I’m working tirelessly to get this done quickly and can’t wait to get back to full speed. Thanks for your patience and support! 🙂
